I'm skipping a month forward bc I can.Juliet's POV
Nate and I are closer than ever. All that happened has helped Nate prove that he's there for me. I knew it but I think he needed to prove it to himself. It's SUMMER! Finally. I roll over in the morning and Skate is still snoring really loud. It's cute but also very annoying when you're trying to sleep. I try to wiggle out of his arms without waking him up. I start packing my stuff because we leave for Mammoth tomorrow. I'm really excited to be with Nate for a week especially because of all the pressure on our relationship basically since it started. I brush my teeth and throw my hair up into a high ponytail and put on my favorite jeans and a plain black t-shirt. I know that every time I pack for a trip I forget something important so I wanted to start early.
I start putting on my makeup and then I hear Nate breathe in deep then he sits up and laughs at my already packed bags.
"Is it time to leave already?" Nate laughs getting up.
I put down my mascara and turn to face him. He wraps his arms around me and I can't help but smile. I wish this moment would last forever.
"I can't wait to go on a trip together. Do you think you can handle being alone with me for that long?" He smirks.
"Ohh somehow I think I'll be just fine." I laugh.
Everyday with Nate is my favorite day but I feel more and more comfortable with him. I honestly can't wait to be alone with him even though everyone else is gonna be there too. At this point nothing else matters. Just him and I. We stand there for several seconds a and his strong arms are holding me tightly.
"I love you lil mama."
"I love you Nate." I say hiding my blushing cheeks.
"Want breakfast?"
"Sure babe."
He kisses my forehead and throws on some clothes, ruffles his hair, then walks downstairs and within a matter of minutes I hear quiet cussing. I run down the steps curious and worried and I see eggshells in the sink, unscrambled eggs in a flattened form, and pancake mix on the counter.
"Baby?..." I laugh and he gives me a stern look.
"I'm sorry... I messed it all up." He looks upset.
I give him a look then burst out laughing. Tears roll down my cheeks and he smiled showing his deep dimples.
"Oh my god Nathan."
"Ha. Ha. Ha." He says sarcastically.
"Go clean up I'll fix this." I say still laughing.
He runs upstairs laughing and I start cleaning up then start cooking more food. After a shower he comes downstairs and sits down at his seat in front of a plate of bacon, eggs, and pancakes and a glass of iced coffee. After we finish breakfast he heads upstairs and to pack his bags which I'm sure I'll have to check later to make sure he doesn't forget anything. Hours later he finally stops looking on his phone and actually starts packing.
I sat on the bed while Nate asked me what to pack. Typical.
"Make sure you have a couple t-shirts and sweatshirts because the weather could-"
My phone went off. I looked down and my heart sped up. Something I never thought I would see. Kate's name calling.
"Baby? What's wrong?"
I stared at my phone but didn't answer.
"Who's calling?" Nate says getting a little irritated.
