c-"what do you mean?"

s-"you two have been like inseparable since shes moved back to LA fulltime"

c-"well we can't help that out of all of us we don't have a significant other"

j-"what happened to that one girl?"

a-"i think you have to be more specific"

c-"uhh, well there was lucy but she ghosted me about four weeks ago"

m-"well, shes gone but you could still try to find someone. we could help"

c-"the last time i trusted my friends to help me with that sam set me up with lilith"

co-"im pretty sure that was a joke"

c-"im waiting for the right person"

r-"what does that mean?"

a-"it means he likes a girl but is waiting to loose feelings or have them grow strong enough to the point where he confesses"

s-"what stage are you at colby?"

c-"uhhh"

thankfully i was saved by the front door opening. i turned and saw lilith walk in and grab her phone off the counter.

l-"sorry to interrupt your boy talk, i forgot my phone"

a-"what do you think about the idea of colby going on a date?"

l-"i mean, good for him but i'll loose my single buddy"

c-"see, i told you"

l-"alright i have to go now, the girls want to give me a makeover of some kind"

she waved and shut the door. i turned back and looked at the guys who were all giving me the same look.

c-"what?"

s-"i have never seen you look at a girl like that before"

c-"like what?"

co-"like if it was just you two left in the world you would kiss"

a-"they have kissed"

j-"WHAT?"

m-"at that party a couple weeks ago"

co-"and you weren't gonna tell us?"

c-"we did it to avoid talking to brennen"

s-"there are so many ways to avoid talking to someone"

c-"we were also slightly intoxicated"

r-"i still count that as a kiss"

j-"drunk words are sober thoughts"

m-"there wasn't much talking going on"

i looked at mike who was starting to laugh.

c-"you guys all sound like highschool girls gossiping"

a-"bold of you to assume we're not"

we all laughed and continued to talk about random things. video ideas, aryia and mikes plans for their music, and whatever else we thought of. around lunch mike, aryia, corey, devyn and reggie all had to leave so that just left sam, jake, and i all at my place.

j-"im gonna go check on the girls and make sure they didn't spray glitter everywhere"

c-"good luck, you gonna come back over?"

j-"yeah, i might be able to persuade the girls to come back over"

s-"see you in a minute then"

he walked off and as soon as the door shut sam looked at me.
