Chapter 21: Passion’s Need
Chapter 21: Passion’s Need
Lianna POV
“What the hell happened back there Lia?” Ezra asked as we settled onto the couch in his living room comfortably. His parents had decided to stay over at the palace to lend much needed moral support to my dad since I was apparently missing. I really hadn’t cared what they thought or how worried they were, because in my mind, they had all betrayed me.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” I replied uneasily. I tried hard to push the disheartening thoughts and images of my mother’s rape and my almost rape out of my head. It was extraordinarily difficult because it was all I saw when I closed my eyes.
“You don’t want to talk about it?” He asked incredulously. He gave off such anxiety that it hit me hard, almost knocked the breath out of me.
“You disappeared for hours Lia and you don’t want to talk about it.” He said in disbelief. I felt incredibly guilty that I offered no explanation, but all I wanted was to have forgotten, wiped it from my memories. I was in such agony that I couldn’t have endured it further.
“You got drunk and nearly killed a vampire with your bare hands. I found you shaking like a leaf, laughing like a crazy person and crying your eyes out all at once, yet you don’t want to talk about it.” Ezra pondered worriedly.
I felt the concern he radiated, it was fierce and all-consuming. I decided we would have discussed this in the morning, when we were both more clearheaded. I hadn’t wanted to lie to him, or omit obviously troublesome occurrences, but I needed time to wrap my head around everything that had happened and heal my heart of the gaping wound my uncle’s betrayal had left behind.
“I’ll tell you in the morning. Besides, you need to catch up.” I responded unconvincingly, poured him a drink and set it before him.
He gulped it quickly, as expected and after the fourth drink, the alcohol had loosened him to my liking. The anxiety slowly slipped from him, and was replaced by desire. The more his glazed eyes stared at me, the stronger it had become. This was all I needed to convince him of my next plan. It was what I had waited for, planned for this night, before everything went so horribly wrong.
“Kiss me Ezra.” I demanded and he complied eagerly.
He kissed me lustfully, passionately, traced his hot tongue over my lips and sucked my bottom lip into his mouth. I was on fire. My body tingled with anticipation of his every touch and kiss.
I pushed him down and laid on top of him, took his tongue in my mouth. It tasted sweet, but also bitter with alcohol. I wanted him so much that I felt it as it burned within me. He lowered his defenses and I searched him too.
He was ready and so was I. I abruptly jumped off of him and used my vampire strength as I lifted him to his feet. I directed him up the stairs and toward his room.
“Where are we going?” Ezra questioned, puzzled by my abrupt change in demeanor. I smiled at him sexily and continued moving him toward his room.
