"i simply disagree." you laugh setting down your can of coke on your coffee table.

you were currently discoursing with jin over whether or not iced coffee is better than hot coffee. he thinks coffee should be hot and that it tastes better in that form. you on the other hand, will die on the hill of iced coffee over hot coffee. it just tastes better and is refreshing in your mind.

"so, hows the group coming along?" you sit back against your padded sofa and sink your body into the cushion.

"almost done." he turns his head and flashes you a proud smile.

"so when can i hear this music?" you purse your lips before letting a small giggle erupt from your mouth.

"well, we have a date set. the 25th of next month. right now we are about to start pushing out promo and since there isn't any fans yet we dont want to wait too long for debut." he leans back along the couch next to you.

you take a minute to soak in the moment. your boyfriend in sweats and a hoodie cuddled to your side, you smell his sweet natural aroma and smile to yourself. you hate to admit the new found distance is hard especially because its still fresh being this far apart from each other. he takes it better than you do though. he's a busy man and you... yes you're busy but you also have trouble with change. its hard being far away from him, you love him and for anyone thats scary enough as it is but from all the troubles that brought you two together you have a sort of attachment to him that you also know isn't healthy. is it normal to want to be around him every waking moment and the time you spend sleeping? you're not sure. it isn't even possible to always be with one another. but you reassure yourself this patch is for growth, together. you haven't been together too long but you are sure you've never felt this way towards anyone before. no matter how long you were on and off with taehyung, you've never felt this strongly for someone. it makes you wonder if what you have felt in the past was even love or maybe it was convenience? you shake your head from your thoughts as you start to hear soft breathing next to you.

"babe are you sleeping?" you giggle out.

"no, i was just resting my eyes." jin smiles as he wraps his arm under your back and around your body to pull you closer to him.

"if you're tired you can go lay in the bed." you look over at his soft face and push his hair away from his forehead.

"here's fine." he smacks his lips a few times in exhaustion and you decide to let him be.

you grab the remote and flicker through the streaming services to see whats good to watch or if there is anything new. once you find something decent you click play and toss the remote to the side of the couch. you watch the movie and eventually get sucked into the plot and the time goes by minute by minute until you feel a tiny pull at your side. you look over and see jin readjusting himself next to you, still sucked into his slumber. you cant help but smile a bit at him. you know his sleeping position is only going to hurt his neck when he wakes up but the thought of waking him up doesn't even cross your mind. you quickly turn back your attention to the tv and sink back into the movie.

the movie ends just as fast as it started and you're left with nothing else to do. you sigh and decide to get dinner going. carefully, you peel away from jin as softly as you can to not wake him and you stand to your feet. once up you stretch out your arms above your head and yawn. sometimes the day runs away from you without noticing. it's already evening and you had no idea what you were going to scrape together for dinner.

you scrounge through your fridge for ingredients and find a half jar of pasta sauce and correlating ingredients for spaghetti. sure it may be quick and lazy but thats all you have the energy for tonight so you quickly set out a pot and get some water boiling for noodles. cooking food isn't all that easy when you have a dog at your heels the whole time but you're used to it. mindful of the tiny one at your feet you enjoy your time in the kitchen making the quick dinner. cooking isn't all that bad to you, the only reason you resent it is the cleaning up that follows. something about scrubbing dishes after all the effort it took to pull together a meal, no matter how simple, really turns you away from actually making food. but you have a bad habit of eating out and you certainly dont have the budget to do that anymore.

"what're you making?" you hear a groggy voice say behind you.

without turning around you answer your boyfriends question to which he responds with a hum before disappearing to the loving room. you regret making such a simple meal but knowing him he doesn't care about what you make or how you make it, he's just appreciative of being there with you. he wouldn't care if you cooked or not for that matter.

"dinner is served." you smile bringing a plate full of the pasta to jin who was sitting on the couch.

"mm thank you, baby." he hums before swirling his fork in the noodles.

a comfortable silence fills the air as you both sit and eat together. its always easy with him, theres no need to try and be someone you aren't or try and cook to impress him or dress a certain way. he loves you for you and thats all you could ever ask from him.

"are you still tired?" you ask finishing your food and setting the plate on the coffee table.

"a little. i think it's because i haven't slept much this week." he says between bites.

"sleep as much as you want here." you smile at him before opening your mouth once more to speak.

"well i'm going to go wash up. ill meet you in bed?" you ask and await his nod before grabbing your plate and taking it to the sink. you decide you'll do the dishes in the morning due to the fact right now you really didn't feel like doing them. you'd hate to leave them overnight so you fill the pot with water and dish soap and place the other materials used in the pot to "soak" overnight. not because they would be hard to clean, because they wouldn't, but just because you didn't feel like cleaning them right now.

you make your way to your room and into the bathroom to prepare yourself for bed. you wash your face and brush your teeth making sure to moisturize your skin. you slip out of your day clothes, which was just a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, and put on an oversized tee shirt to sleep in.

you grab your clothes from the floor as jin walks into the bedroom, closing the door behind him. he walks into the bathroom just as you're walking out and you both share a small smile in passing. with clothes in hand you place them into the laundry basket and slip into your cozy bed while you hear him brushing his teeth. you click on the tv in your bedroom and find a show for background noise.

"do you mind turning off the light?" you ask him as he walks out of the bathroom in nothing but his underwear. in any other instance the sight of him this way would turn you on and it's not that it doesn't turn you on, for some reason tonight it just feels like routine. you both with each other comfortably, doing regular things. it makes you happy being with him.

he does as asked and plops down next to you under the covers. you feel his warm body next to yours and thats enough to soothe you into closing your eyes for the night.

"i love you." jin whispers as he places a gentle kiss to your cheek and clings to your side.

"i love you too." you whisper back.

nothing else needs to be said in this moment. just the two of you falling asleep at the same time knowing that tomorrow you will wake up next to each other.
