STRANGE HAD DREAM-WALKED into the dead body of Defender Strange back on Earth 727. After controlling the souls of the damned, he went faced Wanda on Mount Wundagore with Wong, who had survived the fall.
The witch was still very powerful and incapacitated Wong before shooting down the dream-walking Stephen. Zombie Strange's body started to deteriorate from the Chaos Magic and it affected Stephen and Christine back in the reality where he was conducting the seance.
Unbeknownst to Wanda, America Chavez was given words of encouragement by Stephen earlier. She always had control of her powers but just didn't know it, and every universe they went to were the ones they were always supposed to go to. It all lead them to now.
As Wanda was attacking Stephen, America jumped off the altar she was freed from and punched Wanda, a star-shaped shockwave of energy expelling through the temple.

It disoriented the redhead, as nobody has been able to hurt her until then. America looked at her fist and clenched it before smirking at Wanda.
"Uh-huh." She said.

America punched her again and again then push-kicked her. Wanda almost fell through a portal into a fiery universe that looked like hell, but she caught herself. Chavez threw another punch, but Wanda stopped her fist with her psionics and let the portal close behind her.
"I can't beat you..." America said and clenched her other fist. "So I'll give you what you want."
She hit Wanda again and a portal opened up behind her. The redhead stumbled back for a moment but was able to grab America's throat. She got the teenager on her knees and glared at her.
