"Mrs.Hillman, your third detention this week. What did you do? Did you spray paint the school? Skip class?" Says principal Alan. "No sir, I was chewing gum in class and I stuck It under my desk. I'm sorry sir, it won't happen again. Please-"
"Julianne..."
"Julia actually..."
"I have to call your mom. It's your fault for not following our rules."
I sigh and look down at my feet. My mom is going to be so mad.
I actually got picked up my my dad and my 3-year-old sister, Sophia. He didn't say one word to me. I looked over at Sophia and she frowned.
I got home to see mom and Steven watching some TV. I run upstairs to my room and Skype my best friend, Bryan.
"JJ! What did you do this time? I can see your parents fighting through the window."
I look up at him, I stared into his deep hazel eyes. I don't feel like saying what I did. I texted him "chewing gum" he looked at his phone when it buzzed. He looked up and shook his head.
"You should stop, 10 detentions and you'll be expelled."
"I'm not worried, I'll just be more careful."
"I'm worried about you JJ. Please just give it a rest?"
I nod my head, and look down at my feet.
"Would you like to come for dinner?" I didn't really think about it. Of course I did, but he'll just lecture me about being safe and all that crap.
"I can't, I'm grounded." I lied to him. He nods his head and logged off, he must've known I was lying.
He's a goof, he's perfect, I couldn't have a better best friend.
Well, actually maybe I could. I don't really know, I'll have to see.
He seems really sweet, he loves to protect me. He's been my best friend since we were 6, we've been stuck like glue since then. We've never though of dating each other, we've always dated different people. It's just weird.
Weird.
