Better Future Together (Levi X Reader)

I'm so sorry if I haven't been able to upload for months, I just didn't really feel like it and I've been sooo busy with school.

"If things worked out differently maybe we'll be somewhere better than this" Currently, we're in the woods, eating with the people who we consider as our enemies.

I almost didn't make it because Floch has his eyes on me every single time, Levi and Hange got away from them and they didn't want one of the best soldiers to disappear too.

"Maybe" It was almost a whisper, Levi's voice, it was almost a whisper. He went through a lot these past few days, his comrades turned into titans, almost got killed, didn't get to avenge Erwin from Zeke, got blasted by a thunder spear, lost his fingers, and was chased by the people that we thought we could trust.

I honestly don't know where to stand. I want Eren to destroy our enemies island but I also met amazing people there who don't deserve to die.

My parents died when the wall first got breached, the same time Eren's mother died. I didn't know what to do, I had no one else to take care of me. I only had one thing in mind, revenge. Everytime I see those demons in front of me acting like they didn't just do anything, like they didn't just kill my family, I just want to choke all of them.

"You're having evil thoughts again" Levi woke me up from my thoughts and made me lean my head on his shoulders. I didn't even notice that he sat up.

"I can't help it, I'm sorry. It's just that, how can they act so...casual? Like they didn't just kill a lot of people that day"  I'm really frustrated, I didn't know that there were people who's souls are this dark and dirty to not even feel a single remorse when they did all of that.

"I also don't know. I am mad too, I want to kill them all believe me, but I can't. We can't because we need them, they're the only ones that we have left" I get his point. All of the other soldiers are under Floch's command, that bastard.

How did we end up like this? How did we end up fighting against one another? How did soldiers end up fighting soldiers? We were trained together, most of us knew each other, we grew together, became friends, and now suddenly all of us because strangers, no, even worse, enemies.

We do not have any choice, if we hesitate we get killed. It's either us or them and unfortunately, we have a mission that we need to finish. We have a mission which is save the demons that have been punishing us for years and the reason why our families got killed

I was shocked when I felt something on my lips but I was even more shocked when I saw that Levi was kissing me! It was a soft and tender kiss and I couldn't just help but to melt and kiss him back

"You keep getting lost in your thoughts and I think this is the best way to snap you out of it" He was now caressing my cheeks with his thumb and I couldn't help but lean in to his touch. He just giggled and pulled me closer into his arms

"You haven't gotten any sleep this past few days that's why you kept spacing out. You should really get some rest" He started playing with my hair and humming peacefully while keeping me secure in his arms

"I've been busy, I don't trust these guys. I watch over everybody" You'll never know what will happen when you're sleeping, they could attack us and we won't even know it

"Sleep tonight, I'll watch over you" He kissed my head and I can no longer do anything but nod. I trust Levi, I know he will keep me and everybody else safe. He may not be able to fight that well yet but I'm sure he will try his very best to defend all of us

"After all of this, let's go farrr away from civilization and let's live a normal and happy life together" I held his hands and squeezed it slightly

"Yeah, let's do all that. Let's go farrr away from everybody" I want that, I really really hope that we all get out of there alive. I hope we can all live a normal life and live the life that we fought for years to have

"Let's survive together" I know me and him are the best soldiers but it is still hard for him to fight at his state and I'm tired as hell

"Yeah. If we survive this, let's get married immediately" That didn't shock me, he has been talking about getting married and having a family with me so I pretty much expected it already. I'm happy that he wants a future with me

"Yeah, let's build our own family. For a better future together" I kissed his lips as my "toast" since we don't have any drinks with us
