Hifumi had moved away from the leaf village, despite the scene that he had caused it was better to still try and milk as much money as he could. He shouldn't worry about anyone but himself now; whether they know now that it's village versus village. He no longer had to worry, this was what they wanted so they'll get their tool. "They said my life was much more precious than another." He muttered remembering the teachings, they were different from the ones being taught... But he lived through wars alongside his old friends.

The darker male flinched at the memory before letting out a deep breath. He wasn't fragile but they would never believe him even now. He chuckled before turning his attention to the instructors who stopped the small fight. Hifumi couldn't help but notice the look that Naruto was giving him. 'You're a ninja and on a different team,' he couldn't help but be harsh. 'Act like it you brat.' He mouthed making Naruto's eyes widen at the change of attitude. 'Brother? Why?'

He turned his attention away as the next stage was set... "Oh, dear." He muttered seeing the scarred male talk away and warn the room. Some people were cocky and some were slightly nervous. "Now, if we are ready we'll proceed to the next step of the Chunin exams once you're all seated. Then you'll be given a number where you'll be seated." He was serious... Hifumi doesn't like that... Kotetsu held up a stack of paper tests with a smirk after hearing Naruto's shouts about the written test. "This shouldn't be too bad." He muttered under his breath.

He was wrong.

Hibiki tapped on the board. "There are a few rules that you need to be aware of and no questions." Everyone paid attention as they were all seated. "Once, the written exam is based on point reductions and you'll be given ten-point, a perfect score. One point will be reduced if you miss a question." Everyone smiled as they were definitely confident about their academic class. "Rule two, teams will pass or fail based on the total scores of each member." Sakura let out a loud gasp as she slammed her head onto the table in a tantrum. "What! wait for a second! You're saying you mean we all get scored as a team?!" Hibiki looked annoyed as Hifumi sighed in annoyance, the ninja next to him looked confused. "Silence! I have my reasons!" She only glared before fixing herself.

"Rule number three, the sentinels that are in the room are to make sure you don't cheat and every time they catch you then you will be reduced two points. And if you get caught five times then you'll be disqualified." Naruto shouts in shock. "He's dead," Hifumi muttered as he glanced down at his paper. "Hey." He turned to see one of the sentinels trying to catch his attention. "Hm?"

'One... One... One... Two... Three?' He raised a brow before sighing deeply before folding his paper and turning it into a paper plane. "Can I have another paper!" He shouted standing up before throwing the airplane at Kotestu who huffed. "Don't throw your papers at the sentinels, Young Lord," Hibiki smirked while Kotetsu handed him a new paper, it was much different. He mentally frowned as he pressed his lips together.

"Annoying," he muttered as he looked up at the ceiling. 'String?!' He jerked at the sight before sticking his tongue out, he would love to find out how that happened... But he was ordered to cause a scene. "I don't understand at all," the room went silent as he ripped up the paper, a few gasps were heard as he stood on top of the table. "You all want to be ninjas so bad, it's hilarious. To give yourself up to the village leaders. To lose free will." His eyes remained cold. Naruto couldn't figure out if he was lying.

"Have you decided if you're able to kill? To kill each other no matter if you're from the same village or not?" He glanced around staring down at Shikamaru. "To kill a childhood friend?" He turned to Sakura. "To kill someone you love?" Then he turned to Naruto. "To kill a traitor in the shadows?" He noticed his hesitation in some of the teams, of course, some of the teams ignored him. He was a kid as well, what did he know? "I've killed those who disobeyed missions. Those who didn't follow through the entire situation," he lowered himself to the height of a shaking leaf. "I killed my own teammates for their cowardice, fear, and potential to betray my village."

Hands shot up. A few teams surrendered.

Hibiki coughed as he looked at Hifumi who looked blank as usual. He took a deep breath before nodding at the sentinels. "Take him to the back," HIfumi shook their hands away as he huffed. "It's fine," he spat out as he began to walk out of the testing area. "I know where to go." He snapped out. He soon found his way to the observation rooms where he noticed how tense the room was. "Hifumi," Asuma spoke out trying to catch his attention but was ignored as he gave a slight bow to the Hokage. "Hokage. I've done what you asked." Hiruzen smiled as he ruffled the boy's hair but it was smacked away, a blank expression seemed more blank than usual.

"Sir, please refrain from touching me," he slowly stood up as he slowly took out a kunai, the Hokage's eyes widened as he dropped the weapon. "You called for me, not your son. Please recognize the difference." He paused as he pressed his lips together. "But then again, you know the actions of your consequences, calling your soldier means that until you relieve me of my position," he was cut off by the Hokage nodded. "Yes, you will stay as my ninja and no longer my son... I am your father so you can't expect me to always," Hifumi let out a huff, and a wave of his chakra filled the room. "I don't expect you to," he gave a harsh tone. "It's a requirement."

"Hifumi!" Asuma shouted walking over to his family. "Don't talk to father like that," he flinched at the cold look. "And you should follow suit as well. We are co-workers, no longer siblings. Act like an adult, would you?" He began to leave the room but stopped at the entrance. "I won't hesitate to kill anyone of you for the sake of the mission. I don't care if as Hifumi we have a bond. The missions come first."

"Hifumi!" Kakashi shouted at the insult. He was only met with silence. "You follow the old rules, Fugu. This era," Hifumi turned around and glared. "Is weak. They won't kill." Kakashi furrowed his brows. "And Naruto? Would you kill him? Would you let him kill someone?" This wasn't Hifumi. This was Fugu, one of few of the village's most successful shinobi from Danzo. "Isn't that simple? Of course, the mission comes first." He pulled out a scroll before summoning a mask, he put it on.

"Show some respect, ex Anbu. I'm now active and I will not tolerate disrespect from a coward."

"What have you done?" Asuma turned to his father who sighed. "I've killed my son again."
