chapter twenty one

Kunikuzushi got thrown to the floor, unconscious.

3rd Person POV

   Your watery eyes widened. "Why?" You whispered. "Why why why why why why why why why?" Your words becoming louder before you stood up.
Signora not even bothering to look at you, she just continued to smirk at Kunikuzushi whom lay unconscious. Your mind thought of one thing and one thing only.

Murder

   Murder. You couldn't imagine yourself doing this, but before you could think, you stabbed Signora in the back multiple times. Going deeper and deeper, further and further with every strike. Signora's screams of pain and agony were heard.

   Signora fell to the group, limp and unable to move. Dead. She was dead. You killed her. "I killed her." You said bitterly, beginning to fully acknowledge what you had done.

   You stood still. After all, what could you do? You were a hopeless nobody who no one ever even cared about. Yet some God fell in love with you. You didn't even care anymore.

   You committed a crime. You committed murder. A serious crime. Could you forgive yourself? Signora deserved it by all means, but was it truly something you wanted to do? You had stabbed someone once. His name only a memory that doesn't even deserve to be spoken.

   You were lost in your draining thoughts. Overwhelming draining thoughts. You laughed. And laughed. And laughed.
"Ha...ha...ha.....ha..haha.hahahahaha....ahaha!

   What could you do after all? For some reason, it was a pleasurable experience. The way her blood stained your hands. The way she screamed in her last moments. Was this what Ei felt when she murdered Yoimiya? Was it? If so, you couldn't blame her. Your originally frowned lips turning into a bitter grin.

   You hadn't noticed that both Ei and Kunikuzushi had regained their consciousness and composure. They stared at you. "Y/N..? Darling..?" You heard Ei whisper. You walked over to Signora's dead body. You laughed a small bit before continuing to stab her. "I can't feel anything anymore! Why is this so pleasurable!" What harm would it do if she was already dead? What would happen? Nothing. That's why you did it. Plus, with no regret crossing your mind, you didn't think of stopping.

   Your sanity was drained. After everything you had to deal with? Everything that has happened in the past twenty chapters? You had full reason to do what you did.

   You felt arms wrap around your figure, with slight sobs that were quiet enough to barely be heard. You didn't bother to do anything. What was there to do? Really. What was there to do. You sighed. Dizziness began taking you over. The world was shaking and swirling. You didn't know what was happening. You thought you were dying. You let out a small sob before falling to the ground.

   Ei frowned. She knew you passed out due to overwhelming thoughts. She held you close as Kunikuzushi walked over. "Damn, that was actually really scary," Kunikuzushi admitted, giving an awkward smile. Ei laughed, patting his head. "Is she okay?" He asked, nervously. "She should be. It seems that her mind just got overwhelmed," Ei spoke, trying to maintain a calm tone. Ei took a deep breath. "At least I hope,"

   She picked you up. "I'm going to go let her get some rest. I need you to come back into Tenshukaku just in case more threats come along the way. Okay?" Ei spoke, showing not much emotion. Kunikuzushi just nodded. He didn't want to upset Ei. She'd most likely abandon him again if he made her upset (lmao imagine), so he'd pass on that.

   Following shortly behind Ei, Kunikuzushi thought about what just happened. He was confused. "Damn. I didn't know Signora would go apeshit," He mumbled to himself. Ei made an 'mhm' sound as she put you down on her bed. "I'm going to lay down. You can ask Miko for a spare room if you would like one. I'm sure she'll get you one," there wasn't much tone in Ei's voice as she spoke. "Uh, yeah okay," Kunikuzushi said before quickly rushing out of the room.

   Ei had sat on the bed, looking over at you whom lay unconscious. "Oh Y/N, I hope you're okay," Ei spoke softly. You stirred a bit. Ei smiled lightly. "At least you're alive,"

   Ei laid down, shutting her eyes. And eventually, falling asleep.

Four hours later (i hate time skips im sorry for this)

   You had awoke. "Huh..?" You muttered, rubbing your eyes. You noticed Ei sleeping next to you. You giggled a bit. Though, this stopped quickly as you recalled memories of earlier. "Oh.." you muttered. You looked over at Ei who was sleeping gently. You smiled a bit.

   You got up, and began walking out of the room. You looked out of the window. It was dark outside. You assumed it was late at night.

   "Y/N, what are you doing?" A calm voice spoke. You turned around. "Miko?" You gasped. "Hello little one~" Miko smiled. "You should get more rest after what happened earlier, though this is just my suggestion," Miko explained. "I'm not tired," You said quickly. "Hmm. That's quite hard to believe, would you like some tea?"

   Ei opened her eyes, noticing your departure. "Y/N!" She spoke, she ran out of the room. She noticed you and Miko sitting in silence while sipping on tea. "I know you're there Ei," Miko closed her eyes and smirked. Ei sighed, walking over to you and Miko. "Y/N, are you alright now?" Ei asked worriedly. You closed your eyes. "I'm better than I was. I'm sorry for letting myself get out of control. I..I didn't mean to-" "Y/N, you saved all of us. You made a small sacrifice, that's all. I promise I'm not mad," E reassured you, kissing your head. "Ah-"

   "Are you guys seriously having a party without me? How rude are you. I can use you abandoning me against you, Ei. You don't want me to use that, do you? Plus...I may have maybe had a nightmare and...Ei," Kunikuzushi complained. "Kuni I swear..haha." Ei laughed. You smiled gently. You went to speak but a sudden knock was heard at the door. "I'll get it," Ei spoke as she excuses herself from the table. Me, Miko, and Kunikuzushi made some light chat as Ei was gone.

   Ei walked up to the door, opening it. "Sangonomiya Kokomi. Can I help you?" Ei spat. Kokomi gave a bitter smile.

   "Perhaps you could"
