Shelby Sister- Long Lost Sister

I sit in the chapel next to my friends Eloise and Alice
"We have new Governors coming today so chores need doing. Show them how well behaved you are. Now..." matron is cut off by the doors swinging open. I turn around and see 3 men in suits walking forward with woman hanging off their arms "I'm sorry, who are you?"
"We're your new governors"
"Thomas Shelby? my apologies" matron walks towards the man all flustered
"What's gotten into her?" Alice whispers to me chuckling
"My wife and I would like to meet the girls"
"Oh well they all have their chores to do, but I'll be happy to show you around"
"With all due respect matron, but my brother said he would like to meet the girls" one of the other men states.

Later in the day Mr Shelby and his wife walk into the room I'm mopping. I wipe the sweat from my forehead
"Good afternoon, what's your name"
"It's YN sir" Mr Shelby frowns while looking at me
"Tommy" the woman he's with nudges him "I apologise for my husband's behaviour. Please tell us about yourself. What do you like to do?"
"Erm I guess read. Matron doesn't really allow us to play games mam"
"Call my Grace. This is Tommy"
"What do you mean matron won't let you play?
"Well she says we are nothing special, we need to get ready for being a servant because that's all we will do in society"
"How old are you my dear?"
"13 years old mam" Grace looks at Tommy
"Do you think it's her?" I frown feeling confused "she has your eyes"
"YN do you know what happened to your parents?" I shake my head at Tommy
"No. Matron won't tell us about our parents, but we get to keep one item we came here with. I have a necklace with initials on"
"What are the initials?" Tommy asks
"FS"
"It's her Tommy"
"My apologies mam, sir, but I'm rather confused"
"My father had a daughter with another woman outside of wedlock. We've been searching for our sister since we heard about her"
"And you think that's me" I point to myself
"We do. We..."
"Ahhh there you are" matron bursts through the door "Mr and Mrs Shelby wouldn't you like to meet our more... interesting girls"
"Actually no. I'd like her to meet my brothers"
"Oh, but Mr Shelby she has to get her..."
"Now matron" matron looks awkward
"Right, of course. Erm follow me"

I stand in front of the 3 Shelby brothers and their wives. We're in matrons office
"How do we know for sure that it's her?" one of the wives asks
"Linda it's her. Look at her eyes then look at Arthur's. Look at John's and Tommy's. She looks exactly like Katie, well apart from the blonde hair she gets that from Martha"
"Grace is right. There's no denying she's a Shelby"
"Where's the necklace you were on about?" Tommy asks
"Here sir" I pull it from around my neck and hand it to the man. He then looks up at his brothers
"It's her. She's our sister" me? their sister? I have a family?
"I'll find matron" John says taking his wife with him.

They soon return
"I will be taking YN with us"
"Mr Shelby, you can't. I need documentation of proof" matron nervously laughs
"Which I assume you will have?" Arthur states "as matron you should have all documentation of all orphans who come here?"
"Yes, but woman give us false names or they may be anonymous"
"But what if she put down her real name?" John asks
"I will see. What would the name be?" matron gives in
"Josephine Farwell. YN's name would have been Florence Shelby"
"Give me 5 minutes" matron scowls
"Tommy what are you thinking?" Grace looks to her husband
"I'm gonna buy this orphanage"
"Here we go again" Arthur sighs.

A week goes past and now I'm living at Arrow House with Tommy, Grace and their son Charles. I kept my name as YN because I've never been called Florence
"Miss YN tea's ready" one of the house maids comes into my room
"Ok thank you. I'll be down in a moment" I put my book away and make my way downstairs. I go to the bathroom, wash my hands and then I go into the dining room and sit down
"YN how are you finding it here?" Grace asks taking a sip of wine
"It's.. quiet. Im not used to having my own room and not having to clean all day"
"I was wondering if you would like to come and see the horses tomorrow?"
"Horses?" I question
"You ever ridden?" I shake my head
"Well then, we take a trip to the races, I'll phone our brothers later"
"I'd like that. Thank you Tommy" I smile.
