I made sure that I look beautiful as soon as I entered Dad's office. Alam ko, may private meeting sya with Crime for today. Ang akala ba ni Crime, makakalusot pa sya?

Now I know that his wife is already dead, maybe I can be with him now? After all, it's been four years. Sorry for his wife but I really like Crime.

"Maia not now." Dad said.

"Hey Dad, I just wanted to have a lunch with you." Binalingan ko si Crime. "You should come, Atty. Dizon."

"We're having a meeting here, Miss Saavedra. Will you please excuse us for a moment."

Humila pa ako ng upuan at hinawi ang buhok ko.

"I can wait."

Sinamaan ako ng tingin ni Crime, pero pakialam ko ba. I had planned my ways to get his whole attention.

"Alright, we'll just finished this before we eat lunch." Dad declared.

I saw Crime scoffed.

Ay sorry, Crime. My dad always favors me.

Pagkatapos ng meeting nila ni Crime, nagpa-order si Dad ng pagkain para sa amin. Then he had to answer an emergency call for a minute. Humalukiphip ako kay Crime.

"Quit staring." Aniya.

"Why? You might fall?"

He scoffes. "It's annoying."

Bumalik si Dad kaya umayos ako. Habang kumakain kami, nag uusap pa din sila tungkol sa business.

"I can volunteer to help him, Dad. Iyong sa lupa ba natin sa tayabas?"

"Yes. Hindi pa din binibitawan ng mga walanghiya."

"I can help, Atty. Crime. Kabisado ko ang lupa namin doon." I even smirked.

Sasagot sana sya pero nag agree na si Daddy.

"Hindi ko lubos maisip na maririnig ko yan sayo, Maia." Anito. "So, is that okay, Atty. Dizon? May iba din kasi akong gagawin."

Sinulyapan nya ako.

"It's okay, Sir."

Pinigilan kong pumalakpak. I'm taking one more step at a time here.

Nagpaalam na agad si Crime pagkatapos namin kumain. I hugged Daddy and kissed his cheeks before I went out of his office.

"Wait Crime!"

"What is it?"

"Bakit ang sungit mo?"

"Marami pa akong gagawin."

"About our trip for Tayabas. Free ako ng thursday till weekend."

"I'm a married man, Maia. In case you forgot."

I bit my inner cheeks and nodded.

"My business here is not to flirt with you, no harm."

"Alright." Nakataas na ang kilay nya. "Thursday."

"Yay! Noted!" Kumindat ako at nilampasan na sya doon.

I PACKED my things immediately. Then I asked Daddy if he could tell Crime to pick me up on our mansion.

Mas lumawak ang ngisi ko ng makita ko syang pumarada sa tapat ng main door.

"Good Morning, Atty. Dizon."

He looked grumpy. "Are we good to go?"

"Hindi ka na magbebreakfast?"

Nakita ko kung paano nyang pinasadahan ng tingin ang damit ko. I'm wearing a nude printed channel top with my berskha high waisted short.
