"Good morning, Miss Maia." Salubong ni Genwin sa akin.

"Is the papers ready?"

"Opo."

Lumihis ang tingin ko sa may pinto ng office ni Daddy at nakita na lumabas doon si Crime.

"Genwin, pakidala sa office ko."

Lumakad ako at nilampasan na sya.

"Maia."

I halted my steps when Daddy called me. Bumaling ako sa kanya.

"About the proof read I told you. Ibigay mo kay Atty. Dizon."

Kumibit balikat ako at kinuha iyon sa loob. I casually handed the folder to him.

"Dad. I mean Sir Ortiz." I slightly nodded.

It's been a what? One month. Yes. One month had passed. I already accepted everything but I don't wanna be near him again. It was like realization hits me so hard.

Oo nga. Mukha akong tanga kakadikit sa kanya.

Tinalikuran ko na sila at pumasok na sa office ko. Actually what's the use of greeting him? Sya na mismo nagsabi na umalis na ako sa buhay ng anak niya diba? I just did him a favor.

Humalukiphip ako at naupo sa sofa. I was rolling my eyes.

"He actually talked to me anak." Daddy sighed. "He apologized for what happened and I understand him. Kasi anak nya yung napahamak."

"I feel betrayed, daddy. I'm your daughter."

"Well, Maia Love. Ganun din ang gagawin ko kapag napahamak ka without me knowing. You know that I cherish you so much. Some part, I understand him, but he doesn't need to say those things to you." Tumayo si Daddy at lumapit sa akin. "If he doesn't love you, he should have said it in an nicer way. No one's at fault, darling."

"Okay na din, Dad. Parang it hits me with the whole realization."

"Oh, kaya dapat professional ka. Labas ang personal na issue nyo ni Atty. Dizon at sa trabaho. Okay?"

"I just hope hindi ako masura at barahin sya."

Pinisil ni Daddy ang pisngi ko.

"And one more thing, he wanted to talk to you."

"Ayoko sya makausap." Tumayo na ako at inayos ang suot ko. "Anyway, Dad. I'll go back to work."

Lumabas ako sa office ni Daddy at nasakto pang tumayo si Crime sa cubicle nya. Umiwas na ako agad at pumasok sa office ko naman.

"Genwin!"

"Miss!"

"Ah, wag na pala. Ako nalang. Paki-photo copy nito."

Nilapag ko sa braso nya ang folder at lumakad papasok sa pantry. I tried to reached for the coffee box when someone reached for it. I gasped.

"Here."

Hindi ko napigilang mapataas ang kilay. Nakaya kong hindi sya pansinin ng isang buwan, ngayon pa ba?

I snatch the box on his hand and made my business beside. Nagtimpla ako ng kape ko at kumuha ng cakes sa ref.

"Maia."
