i'm still wearing my seatbelt

⚠️

While this may not seem like much of poem at first glance, it came out at a critical moment of self reflection. A close friend asked, "How have you been?" and this was my reply.

To me, this poem meant I still valued my life enough to preserve it. It was also a measure of restraint and inhibition. I think about it every day, and it challenges me to consider whether I should live under my same assumed constraints or shrug them off, whether to protect my life or risk it with intention. Are you still wearing your seatbelt?
