Summary: Mar visits Leni at the OVP.

"VP Leni, nandito po si Sir Mar sa labas. Papasukin ko po ba?" Leni's assistant politely asked and Leni smiled.
Mar called her earlier, saying he would visit her at the OVP after months of not being able to catch up due to the pandemic.
"Yes, Anne, pasok na lang siya. Thank you." Leni smiled at her assistant as she nodded and went outside again. Soon the door opened, revealing Mar Roxas, wearing a simple white polo shirt tucked in his pants.
"Partner, buti napadaan ka. Ang tagal na nating hindi nakapag-usap." Leni greeted him with a beso on the cheek and a hug. Leni leads him to the mini receiving area of the OVP.
"Oo nga, sobrang busy kasi may duties ka as VP at busy din ako sa pandemic response." Mar smiled and sat on the chair.
"Coffee or tea?" Leni offered
"Coffee will do, partner," Mar said, and Leni called to her assistant to bring the tea.
"Biglaan nga yung bisita mo today pero buti na lang hindi masyadong busy ang schedule ko." Leni said and Mar smiled.
"I wanted to ask you something." Mar started
"I knew it! May bumabagabag sa iyo, Partner? " Leni looked at him with a knowing smile. She wasn't called his best friend if she didn't know Mar that well.
"Paano mo nakayang ipaglaban si Bong?" Mar asked seriously just as the tea was served in front of them
Leni poured herself a cup and took a sip. Before smiling warmly.
"Hindi naging madali. It caused so much pain and betrayal for me to be able to fight for him." She looked down.
"But it was all worth it, mahal ko eh. I held on to the love at inisip ko na doon ako magiging masaya regardless of what other's think." Leni smiled again.
"Bakit ganyan naman ang tanong mo, Mar? Are you seeing someone?" Leni asked, and Mar avoided Leni's gaze.
"So that's means yes? Wow, you're back in the dating game. Ang lakas nating magsabi sa isa't-isa na hindi na tayo susubok ulit pero heto tayo ngayon." Leni chuckled at the irony of the situation.
"Who is she? Kilala ko ba yan?" Leni asked, curious about who this mystery woman is.
Mar was hesitant whether he would answer her questions or keep it quiet. He was confused about their status or label, especially since the situation was complicated.
"I've heard rumors na model daw." Leni was so into it.
"Model siguro ng buhay ko." Mar joked which elicited a laugh from both of them. This was Mar and Leni behind the scenes.
"Uy ang corny mo pa rin. Paano natitiis ng nililigawan mo yan?" Leni giggled
"Grabe ka, hindi ba effective yung mga ganong klase ng banat?" Mar scratches the back of his head as he laughs with Leni.
"Depende sa tao, pero sino ba yan partner?" Leni was determined.
"O s'ya, hindi mo naman ako titigilan. It's Grace." He said with no pauses and looking at Leni straight in the eye.
Leni's eyebrows furrowed.
"Grace? Partner, guessing game ba ito?" Leni laughed, and Mar smiled.
"Poe"
"Huh?" Leni was more confused if Mar was saying random words.
"Poe. It's Grace Poe." Mar said as a smile formed on his lips.
He and Grace don't exactly have a label yet, but he wants to be with her. He decided to ask Leni because she was in the same situation of loving someone who was once a rival.
Leni now understands why Mar asked how she fought for Bongbong years ago. She found this whole situation ironic because they both promised not to open their hearts again, but here they are both in love with their rivals from the elections ago.
"Marami akong tanong, pero una, I'm happy for you. Hindi ko man lang nahalata na ikaw pala ang dahilan kung bakit blooming si Grace these past few months na dumadalaw siya sa bahay." Leni teased because Bongbong and Grace were close friends, they have this sibling bond. Grace was often invited to dinners at their house and she was their kids favorite tita.
"It's not official. Sa ngayon, complicated pa ang lahat. Hindi ko alam kung anong score pero I'm happy to be with her."
" Bong and I have been in the same situation. You saying na you're happy to be with her is an indirect way of saying you love her." Leni nudged him, and he chuckled.
"Pero if you do love her and if you see yourself with her, then fight for her. Worth it naman lahat ng pagdadaanan, partner." Leni looked down at the wedding ring on her finger, remembering her journey just to be with Bongbong.
"Partner, when I got to talk to her, I saw her in a whole new light. When I fell for her, I realized that Grace is like a breath of fresh air. I was drowning, and she saved me. I've never been this happy in my entire life," Mar fondly shared, and Leni could see so much love in his eyes as he talked about her.
Leni knew Mar had found the love he's been looking for.
"The way na kinekwento mo pa lang siya ramdam ko na agad na mahal mo. I'm happy for you, Mar." Leni asked.
"I want to be with her privately man pero hindi sikreto. Pero I don't even know the real score. "Mar shook his head.
"Ay naku. Pop the question para magkaalaman na. Hindi na tayo teenagers para magpaligoy-ligoy pa"
"Maybe I will. Thanks, Leni." Mar said, grateful to have Leni as his friend.
They continued to catch up with one another like the old times, but Mar had one goal: to make Grace his. Officially.
