"Ugh!" Kate groaned, she was 14 weeks pregnant and finally wrapping her head around the idea, but considering she only found out two weeks ago she didn't exactly have time to buy new clothes, which were now desperately needed
"What is it?" Buck said down the phone, Kate hated that she couldn't work, but they both hated it when they went nights apart
"nothing fits!" She threw her hands down, her jeans sagging
"Leggings?" He asked
"Too tight, jeans to small." She huffed, "two weeks ago I didn't even know I was pregnant. I was just bloated and now I can't even fit in my biggest jeans"
"Try mine" he suggested
"Really?" She questioned, "you think they'll fit"
"Try"
Kate pulled a pair of jeans out of the drawer. She kickd off her jeans and pulled up the other pair, to her surprise they fit
"Ah!" She cheered
"they fit?"
"They fit" she nodded, "and they look good"
"Where are you going?" He asked
"I was thinking of visiting Athena, you know see if she needs anything"
Kate had been so consumed by her surprise pregnancy, she forgot about the world around her. when she found out about Athena being attacked, she was beyond shocked. Kate knew what it felt like, maybe she was able to help.
"Okay, that might be good for her"
"Well, it's not like I can work" she sighed
"I miss you being here"
"I miss being there, I'm bored out of mind. Especially when it's a night shift" Kate said
"How about tomorrow night, we watch a movie and get some take out. We can order your favourite" buck offered
"You know how to treat a girl Buckley" Kate smiled, "I love you, wake me when you get home"
"Absolutely not, you need sleep" buck refused
"Be safe okay, don't jump from any buildings"
Buck chuckled, "I'll try not to. Love you"

In the 30 minutes it took Kate to finish getting ready and go to Athena's, she had heard about a train derailment that required almost every firefighter in the city. Excluding her.
"Hi" Kate smiled "I hope it's okay I came over, I'm bored out of my mind and now all I can think about is the Train derailment"
