Egg & lemon

Several months ago, I got a haircut.

Before the haircut, my hair reached the middle of my back.

Afterwards, it barely reached my shoulders.

After a couple of days, I regretted the haircut. So I started researching ways to speed up hair growth, even though my hair already grows fairly quick naturally.

One website said to pour lemon juice and an egg on your head, leave it for a few minutes, and then wash it out and shampoo/condition as per usual.

Apparently it would make your hair soft, shiny, and healthy.

So I decided to try it!

My dad helped me juice the lemon and we poured it into the jug. The seeds went in as well.

We then cracked the egg into the jug and stirred it.

I headed off into the shower and got the water running.

I hopped in, wet my hair, then started pouring the egg and lemon mixture on my head.

It was cold, slimy and smelly. It got all over me as well.

After a few minutes, I washed it out and conditioned my hair before hopping out.

About an hour later when I went into the bathroom to brush my hair so I could put it in a plait for bed, I noticed I had lemon pulp in my hair.

So I spent about 10 minutes trying to brush it all out.

It wasn't fun. I do not recommend.

My arms hurt afterwards.

But I got nearly all of it out. The pulp I didn't get out came out when I next washed my hair.

I haven't done this mask again.

Try at your own risk. It does benefit the hair, because afterwards my hair was soft and shiny until I next washed it.

But trying to wash it out isn't fun.

Plus it feels disgusting on your head. It doesn't smell the best either.
