Shutting the door, I put my back against the cold wood and cover my face with my hands. "Why did I say darling. What the-" I cut myself off as I realise.

"Oh no. Oh no. Oh no" I chant as I pace around the room. "You have got to be kidding me. It was a stupid highschool crush. That. Is. It." I assure myself as I sit down on the sofa and bury my face in my hands.

After a few hours, I pick up my phone from the table infront of me and read through the messages on the cast group chat. I text Tyler after that to explain my situation to him as he is my closest friend in the cast.

Hi Ty

Hi J

I have a problem

Hit me

I take a deep breath before typing

Pretty much, (y/n) came and gave me my bag back today cos I left it in her car and I called her darling

Oh-

I know!
The worst part is that I've been sat here for the past, like, hour questioning myself over why I said that

You told me you liked her in highschool tho, right?

Yeah but that was just a dumb highschool crush. I definitely don't like her anymore

But maybe it was more than that, maybe you do still like her

After reading that, I exit out of the chat and text Mia to get clarification on (y/n)'s pronouns. Mia tells me that (y/n) still uses she/they.

After a while, I decide I'm tired and head to bed. It feels like I'm lying in my bed, staring at the empty ceiling for hours. No matter how hard I try, I cant get (y/n) out of my head. Thoughts of them flood my brain as I switch on my phone and play quiet music into my headphones.

The music helps me to slightly drown out the thoughts and I manage to fall asleep.

(Y/n) invades my dreams.
