women

from being a child,

to becoming a teenager,

a lady, and a mother,

we are criticized

in every way, in every form

women

we are more than our body and skin

our worth is found inside, within

we are meant to do greater things

perhaps, we are not just a flower

but a flower who rises

to be something we want,
in the places we want

we sprout from the earth, the sun,
and the rain–

wild and free and brave

that we grow even amidst brokenness,

making everything around us beautiful

we are wildflowers

women

from being a child,

to becoming a teenager,

a lady, and a mother,

we are empowered

in every way, in every form
