Annika and shivaay were at the hospital for her last month check-up.

'You can come'

Dr told shivaay before she leads annika to the scanning room. It took him barely a minute to make up a lame excuse before stepping out of the cabin as usual does. He wanted to see their baby. But considering the awkward moment his presence would create, he has to keep aside his wishes. He was yearning to get a single glimpse of his baby, but if he went, she would be uncomfortable which he doesn't want. In only a few more weeks your baby will be in your arms, in front of your eyes he consoled himself. Annika did not fail to read his mind. The way he went out half-mindedly. She wanted him to agree, she wanted to see their baby with him, to cherish the precious sight with him, to share tears of happiness with him. Her happiness would have been increased twofold if his presence will there beside her. She could do nothing rather than shrug off the thoughts with a smile

Annika smiled wholeheartedly when saw her baby actively moving inside her tummy. Her gaze didn't leave the monitor

'All the couples who visit here stay together to see their child. But your husband...'

Doctors voice broke her trance. Her words did not go well with annika. She didn't like it at all. As if she has something to do with my personal life.

'Sorry doctor'

She told this only, showing her inconvenience

'No.. I just'

Being embarrassed dr looked everywhere but annika

'Can I have a copy of this'

Annika asked pointing at the monitor which brought back the normal atmosphere. Doctor nodded muttering a genuine 'sure'

Shivaay and Annika were out of the hospital. Her due date happened to be two weeks later. 'Shivaay' she called out once both were inside the car and he was about to start it.

'Hmm' humming lightly he still paid attention to fastening his seat belt

A bit hesitantly she forwarded the photo of their unborn child. When saw the thing she forwarded, he was extremely surprised. It was something he least expected from her. Just gazing at the photo he took it from her hand. As soon as his eyes caught a very little figure of a baby, his eyes had a strange twinkle, a worth watching smile formed on his lips which was out of his control. Annika's heart fluttered seeing him smiling. She did nothing but admired his face with a smile. She remembered, knowingly or unknowingly, how he became part of her pregnancy phase, how he cared for her. She still remembered the day he overheard her talk with bhavya when she told about her cravings for ice cream. From that day onwards ice cream was never out of stock at Oberoi mansion. At that thought, She chuckled inwardly

His face fell down when she took back the photo after a while. He wanted to keep it with him. Nevertheless, he could not ask for it. Could she not understand at least?. Without further drama he began to drive

After they reached Oberoi mansion, Annika made her way to ruvya's room instantly. Sitting beside bhavya with a wide grin she showed her the photo of the baby. Her happiness was incomplete unless she share it with bhavya. Her all time companion, someone she could share all her pain and joy with. who does not judge her, even though whatever she said
