'I did not even like it. I did not. Infact I hate it'

'Shi...'

'You could have asked me before doing this'

He told frustrated as threw his coat away before leaving the room with long strides.

'Shivaay! Baby! Stop'

Baby is not her usual thing. Only when she needs something from him. Shivaay fastened himself as she ran behind him trying to get a hold of him. Once she got it, they stood face to face

'Your innocent face irritates me now. You just ruined my mood'

'You are exaggerating'

'It was a pleasant day and you ended it on a bad note. Thank you!'

'It's not a big deal'

'Really! Really Annika! Look at my handsome son'

His hand pointed at Ayaan who grinned widely at his father, sitting on the bed. Shivaay tightly closed his eyes and looked away quickly

'I can't see I can't see'

He shook his head not able to see his son bald

'Okay. If that's concerning you so much. Let me tell you. It's just a hair. It will grow'

'Not a quick process though'

'Being patient is not a bad thing'

She crossed her arms

'Asking is not a bad thing either'

'Who set surprises asking'

'Yeah! It was a surprise and I'm really surprised'

He mocked before heading to freshen up. Annika could do nothing but sigh in disbelief

----------

Ayaan sleeps between his parents. Shivaay watches his hairless head carefully inspecting each minor spots

'I was careful'

Annika interrupted.

'You are not a professional'

'Gratefully your wife is good at anything she does'

'Even if a minor cut is there. You'll see'

He continued looking

'Anyway, isn't it so good to touch'

She stroked Ayaan's bald head while a wide grin played on her face which faded as soon as she received a glare from Shivaay

'How handsome he was'

He whined like a kid

'Like me'

He added

'Now he is extra adorable'

'Still everything was better before'

'I know how obsessed you are over hair. that is what makes you so upset. Shivaay once he grows up we won't have that freedom over his styles. So don't miss the chance'

Shivaay kept silent. Minutes passed and she closed her sleepy eyes. Convincing him felt like a forever process. Sleep would be a better idea

'Still you...'

After a peaceful four minutes, Shivaay muttered for the last time. Annika helplessly cursed her idea. Was it so bad? No, it was not that bad! Why do Bald and Bad sound so similar. She shrugged her stupid thoughts and slept

-----------

The next day, Annika is busy with breakfast preparation. She felt more energetic than usual. The reason was nothing but her father was there for breakfast. His warmth and presence provide an inexplicable excitement. She could hear his faded voice from the sitting hall as he talked to his dear son-in-law
