A/N Sadly, I do not own the Harry Potter series- that belongs to Jo Rowling- but I do in fact own Jamie Amber Potter, and more characters I make along the way! Oh and thanks to emcalifo for kind of helping with this chapter :)

"Hello class!" The way to cheery voice of Professor Stealing, the DADA teacher, said walking out of her office.
Professor Stealing was one of my more of less favourable teachers. She wasn't too strict but seemed harsher than Professor Slughorn at least. She had been a Care of Magical Creatures teacher for a couple of years and is now, apparently, the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. She stood in front of us, looking expectantly.
"Hello, Professor Stealing." Came unenthusiastic murmures but it didn't seem to effect her."Today we are learning..." And she continued on her lesson but I was only half listening. One month into the year, and I was still confused on the sudden turn around from James. He was becoming more friendlier towards me ever since the beginning of the year which stumped me. Through my thoughts, I noticed a note appear on my desk. I glanced up at the distracted Professor Stealing and opened the note. Inside it read, "Forbidden Forest tonight at 7.30". It wasn't signed but I knew that handwriting, it was similar to my own. But why did James send it to me?
I impatiently searched for James in the class but couldn't catch sight of him. I huffed instead and shoved the note into my blouse. If I didn't know where James was I couldn't just levitate it back to him. I tuned back into the lesson like a good student does and boredly copied down notes. That was, until my table partner Narcissa spilt her ink all over the desk.
I quickly cleaned it up without a word towards Narcissa and waited until the end of class to bolt out. I was just so tired that I really didn't need that bull today. As that was my last class for the day, I simply walked down to the common room and found Regulus working on his homework. I sat on the chair next to his and put my arm on the table, laying my head on it. Regulus glanced up but didn't say anything for a while.
"You okay?" He asked, reading over his essay.
"Tired." I yawned. I shut my eyes.
"Nope, you've got to wait until after dinner, love." Regulus sighed. He placed a hand on my arm and rubbed his thumb across my skin.
"You're no fun." I huffed glaring up at him. I looked across the table to the clock that sat there and saw it was ten-to-six."Alright, time for dinner. Let's go, Nerd Boy." I teased. I stood up and held my hand out to Regulus who was reading over his essay still.
"Reg, c'mon." I groaned. He sighed rolled up his essay, placing it inside his robe.
"You're so impatient." He sighed, throwing me a charming smile. I merely rolled my eyes and we left the common room."I've been talking with Lucius," Regulus said hesitantly. "He thinks that maybe... maybe it would be good for you to at least say you support You-Know-Who."
"No. Never. Nada. Hush now." I shook my head defiantly and shut down the entire conversation. Regulus sighed once again and took my hand, squeezing it gently. We walked to the Slytherin table, me waving politely at Lily sitting across the room, and sat down near the end. Some other Slytherins from my grade (Avery, Mulciber, Bullstrode) came and sat down across from us and began talking to Regulus. I rolled my eyes internally and began to eat some ceasar salad. I didn't want to be in the conversation so I gave very limited responses if they ever asked me anything, I believe they got the idea after the third time.
I left the table at seven and rushed back to the common room. When I got into the dorm, I barely glanced at the snoring dorm mate who laid in her bed before I changed into a simple sweater and baggy pyjama pants. I didn't think I needed to impress James and whoever else was to be there so it didn't matter to me. I left my dorm and the common room, my wand in my hand loosely as I took my time.
I was scared, I'll admit. What did James want? What if this was just a joke, a rouse? What if I got there and I was attacked or pranked or something stupid like that? Merlin, I hoped not. I didn't truly hate James. The thought of him possibly attacking me was like I had fallen out off my broom in the midst of Dememtors. It wasn't pleasant.
I made it outside and walked carefully through the lawn and past Hagrid's hut. I didn't want to be caught by the Games Keeper and his giant boarhound, Fang. But just as I made it past the hut, a black dog ran up to me. I stared down at it and backed up a little.
"If you're the grim, I'm sorry but I'm not dying yet." I huffed. The dog sat and wagged it's tail, tilting it's head to the side. Then it grew and transformed into the handsome Sirius Black. His hair was tousled and windswept, his signature smile resting upon his lips.
"Amber, so nice of you to come." He greeted. He held out his arm and I took it confusedly."Where's James?" I asked.
"Ahead." Was all Sirius said. We stopped by a large tree just beyond the barrier and a stag emerged from behind the tree, a rat following behind it."I swear to Merlin if James is the stag I'm going to lose my mind." I warned. And of course, the majestic Stag transformed into my darling twin, James.
"Good to see you, Jamie." James said polietly. I rolled my eyes.
"Alright, what do you want?""We need help." Sirius said simply.
"Remus is a werewolf," James explained. "Sirius, Peter and I have become animagi to help him while in his state. It's tough since Peter is a rat," he motioned towards the rat that was sitting on its hind legs. "So we need help.""And you want me?" I asked. I was definitely shocked to find out that the sweet, quiet Remus Lupin was a werewolf but it seemed too easy to believe.
"Yes," James said. "You're a dog, Sirius is a dog, and I'm a stag. It's easier for us to control and contain him."I huffed and thought it over. Would it be safe to be that close to a Werewolf? Definitely not. Was it safe to be near James and Sirius like this? Again, no. But if it was the truth, Remus was a good guy and the thought of him being a werewolf on his own scared me.
"Okay, you gotta deal." I nodded. The two boys grinned at each other.
"We're gonna go through the Whomping Willow-"
"Yep, you've lost me." I said incredulously. James huffed.
"There's a passage way beneath the Whomping Willow that will take us to Remus. It's safe, we do it all the time."
"The only not safe-part though is the fact that it's a killer tree." I pointed out."You'll see, we need to move." Sirius said urgently. James and Sirius both turned into their animagus form and ran off. I transformed into my own dog form and ran after them, following them to the Whomping Willow. The rat -Peter- scurried down into the roots of the swaying tree and it suddenly... stopped. It became rigid and frozen.
I followed James, Sirius, and Peter down through the hole beneath it. We ran through it for what seemed like hours and made it to a set of stairs. All of a sudden, a strangled scream echoed down the stairs. It becme mingled with a howl..
So they were telling the truth.
A/N hope this is a good chapter! I rewrote it to fit in with the rest of the book and such!
