DISTURBINGLY, IT IS EVEN EASIER for a mortal to gain entry to the Palace of Elfhame than it had been for Allura herself. Since the events of Hollow Hall were impossible to put out of mind, the girl couldn't stop herself from emptying out her stomach. And with Jude making her own journey through the palace's labyrinthine halls, there was no one left to comfort her. The faerie had waltzed across the corridors and mingled with the High Court and for the first time in her life, she had started to despise the Gentryfolk pleasantries. So, by the time the fourth faerie had made a gesture of approach, the Evetine girl made a beeline for the shadows of Dain's private rooms.
She knocked a special knock.
"Yes?" Dain had answered her, holding back a smile.
She felt her knees nearly buckle and grew sweet with relief.
"I'm here to pass on a message, Your Highness," Allura answered eagerly, despite there being nobody around.
