Max and Dallas work on building a fort around the old bus as the others work on weapons, the younger girl looks up at the older one as she passes a metal sheet to the top of the bus, brows furrowed in question, "Do you have any idea what's going on?"

"None at all."

"So, all the stuff that went on last year?"

"Told about it last night, struggling to believe it."

Max nods in agreement, moving as Dallas drops herself down from the bus, they turn to watch Steve moving across the scrap yard, "Are you guys like... together?"

"What?" She fakes a gag and laughs awkwardly, "No, he's with Nancy Wheeler, or he was, is, I'm not sure it's confusing."

Max leaves her to work with Dustin and Lucas, Dallas focusing on walking around the pemriter with Mac who keeps to the side, "You should go home Mac, mom will be there now."

The dog doesn't flinch, ignrogn her as she sticks by her side and Dallas sighs crouching beside her, "I know you're not stupid, or deaf so stop pretending, if what they say is real it's going to be dangerous."

"Hey," Steve steps up behind her, "It's getting dark, let's go."

She sighs and stands nodding to the side for her nod to leave, "Mac, home."

The dog trots after the other three, letting herself into the bus, Steve chuckles watching her go, "Just as stubborn as her owner."

"I'm not stubborn."

She walks past him, heading for the bus Dustin is hanging out of watching them walk towards him, "You are."

"Am not."

He tilts his head, raising one brunette brow at her and she rolls her eyes, "You know, if I had a cent for every time you rolled your eyes around me I'd be rich."

"You are rich."

"Fine, then I'd be richer."

He jumps into the bus, turning and presenting a hand but she ignores it, gripping the edge to pull herself up safely, he purses his lips, dropping his hand as Lucas shuts the door behind them.

Dallas makes her way to the back, headphones on as she and Mac settles down on a seat, Max decides to sit beside Dallas, arms crossed as she keeps close to the one who has made her feel most comfortable, Steve sits in front of them, his thigh leaning against her feet as he plays with a lighter while Dustin paces and Lucas takes lookout from above.

"Hey, Lucas, you see anything you come right back down, okay?" Dallas calls to him as he goes up the ladder.

He turns to her, giving a little salute before disappearing completely.
