The sound of shuffling of feet of some hundreds of students and the annoying sound of hundreds of plastic trays clattering onto the neatly arranged tables fill the cafeteria.

I look at my tray and the food sorted on it.

Chicken nuggets, some corn laced with butter all over and salt sprinkled over them and some stupid carrots in the corner.

I sigh deeply in frustration.

I wanna slap some random person so desperately.

"You okay? You have been in an unusually bad mood all day." Lizzie's voice says.

I turn my head towards Lizzie and see her looking at my face with concern.

"Yeah." I said exhaling deeply.

"Yeah what? Yeah like you're okay or yeah like you're in an unusually bad mood?" Lizzie asks.

"I am okay." I said, with an annoyed tone.

I keep looking at Lizzie's face for some reason I don't know about.

"Okay. I'm sorry if I'm being annoying." Lizzie said, rolling her eyes and turning her gaze back on her own transparent lunch bowl containing her own lunch which she brought to school with herself.

She is eating something which looks like a super healthy salad with the bowl almost overflowing with a lot of green leafy stuff and white strings of cheese visible along with the leafy stuff all throughout the bowl.

"What?" Lizzie asks, tilting her head sideways to look at me with her right hand casually holding the back of a spoon, the other part of which is inside the bowl.

"Why do you eat all that leafy stuff all the time?" I ask.

"Because I want to? This is not just leaf. It has cheese and veggies in it too. It's delicious." Lizzie answers with a smile on her face.

"Veggies? Ew." I say, with a look of disgust on my face, my nose crinkled and a frown on my face.

"This is far healthier than those corn and nuggets you're eating. You're not even getting the basic nutrients from that." Lizzie says, pointing her left index finger at my tray.

"I stopped listening the moment you said the word healthier." I said, with a mocking tone.

"What is with you today?" Lizzie asks, releasing the back of the spoon from her right hand and turning towards me with her right elbow on the table and the palm of her right hand supporting her head.

Her eyes focused on my face.

"Nothing? Why?" I ask, looking at her face with something I guess could pass as a questioning look, as I feel my eyes narrow.

"As I said earlier, you seem in an unusually bad mood today." Lizzie says.

"What am I usually then? A person who listens to everything anyone says and does everything that is asked of them like a fucking robot?" I say, my voice growing louder.

"Woah, calm down." Cain's voice says.

I look at his face.

He's sitting in front of me, at the same table, but on the opposite side on his own chair.

He's looking at me with concern.

"Seriously, what's going on?" Lizzie's voice asked.

I turn my head back towards Lizzie.

She's looking at me with a genuinely surprised look on her face, with her eyes opened wide.

I inhale heavily and then let it out.
