Kazuto and Shirohato didn't know what to do; nevertheless, they decided to stay besides Ame but look away, not wanting to watch her feed Denji his noodles with a chopstick. His another "dying" wish.

"How does it taste?" Ame asks, a small look of worry clouding on her face.

"It's delicious!" Denji replies, speaking in between chewing.

"Are you sure?" Ame asks again, "Even if your noodles are soggy?"

"Even if it's soggy!" Denji beams, smiling with his eyes closed and putting a thumbs up. His reaction made Ame finally smile, using the chopsticks to twirl an amount of noodle to feed him again.

"I didn't get your name earlier" Denji says, scratching the back of his head.

Ame smiles at him. "Everyone used to call me, Ms Angel, but it's Sincere Heaven."

"Sincere Heaven?" Denji repeats, head slightly cocked to the side as he was left in confusion. "That's a really unique name you got." He responded, but hearing Ame's small sound of laughter made him more confused.

"You're kidding me, aren't you?" Denji says

"A bit!" Ame says, smiling. "But that's what Takajo Ame means, sincere heaven." She said while nodding her head before looking at him. "You didn't go to school, did you?"

Denji slowly shook his head, shame clouding on him. It was usually at this moment that when girls would find him annoying, unworthy and dis interesting. He was bracing himself for the impact of the rejection that he's going to receive, a heartache yet to come but didn't.

Instead, Ame extended her hand out to him, showing her to him her pinky finger.

"Let's do it like this" Ame begins to say, "I'll teach you how to read and write kanji and hiragana while you tell me about your day!"

"About my day?" Denji questions, "Ain't that hella boring?"

But Ame shook her head, the smile on her lips never leaving. "Why should it be boring? In case you didn't know, my life's a lot different from yours. So...I want to know all about it!" She said with an eager nod.

Denji made a face before nodding his head as well. But his reaction only made Ame frown. "You should stick out your pinky too!" she told him.

Denji extended his left hand out, sticking out his pinky finger while Ame intertwines their sticked out fingers, leaning close to seal their promise with a kiss. "I hope you won't forget out promise!" She cheerily says.

When Ame leaned over the table to kiss their pinky fingers, Denji couldn't help but get a whiff of her scent - peaches and exotic meadow. The hairs on his body suddenly raised and shivers ran down his spine when she got closer to him.

Just who is Ame? And why does she affect him like this? Despite the questions he has for her, only one thing was very clear to him: He's in love.

"Ame, can I ask a question?" Denji asks after Ame fed him his soggy curry noodles.

"Of course you can" Ame says, leaning her arms to rest on the side of the table.

All of a sudden Denji couldn't look at Ame. Why couldn't he look at her? Was it the way she was leaning on the table that meant she was interested in him just as he is to her? Or was it the way he could literally and figuratively melt under her gaze?

"Is...Is there a kind of guy you like or something?" He asks of her.

Hearing this question made Kazuto and Shirohato intrigued, turning their heads to look at Ame's side profile. But Ame could only blink twice at first before chuckling.

"To be honest" Ame begins to say, beads of sweat suddenly forming and trickling down on his skin. "I've never been this close to a guy like you before" Ame answered.

"I've never sat in front of any place in a single table with a guy, never fed him noodles, never gave him a hug or let alone make him sleep in my shoulder." Ame says, smiling a tight lipped smile at Denji. "What I'm trying to say, I've never had any guy before you. Basically, you are my first."

Hearing her answer made Denji feel relieved a thousand times. It felt like walking down on a spring path besides her, holding hands while feeling the cool breeze and the cherry blossoms raining down on them. But horror struck on him when he realized something.

"But Ms Makima said you're a wish angel granting wishes! And you mentioned that I'm your two thousandth person, does that mean you kiss other guys too?!"

Ame was left a little shocked before letting out a laugh. "You're quite funny." She responded, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye. "What makes you so interesting to me is that you're dying and your dying wish is to be kissed by a stranger."

"So-"

"I've never kissed anyone before you." Ame said, making things clear between them. "All the wishes I've granted before were a little..." Ame jutted her lower lip out while shrugging. "Selfish, in a way. One wanted to have his wealth buried with him, one wanted to see his whole family before him and one wanted to tell her lover that after all this time, she would still choose him."

"People's wishes vary. There are just some things that they want to see or accomplish before passing away." Ame slowly nodded her head. "Although I don't know about others because I've only granted two thousand! People die everyday so I wouldn't know about others!"

As Denji was about to ask Ame again, Makima knocked on their table. "We'll be leaving for Tokyo now."

. . . . . . . . . . ♡

Throughout their ride to Tokyo, Denji couldn't help but be lost in his own thoughts. All of these thoughts just swirling around Ame and her alone, more especially about when she said she's the first guy she's ever been this close with.

Since I'm the first guy she's close to, I gotta keep up. Gotta not let other guys come close to her. Denji thought to himself, smiling stupidly while looking outside the window.

Ms Makima said were going to be living in one roof together, so does that mean we'll see each other everyday? And since she said she finds me interesting, that means she's totally in to me! Denji further thought to himself, sighing dreamily before biting his lower lip, sinking himself into his seat.

And if we have that kind of relationship, then wouldn't we also- Fuck. I wanna do that with her! Denji exclaims inside his mind, feeling his heart pummeling inside his chest. He took a quick glance at Ame on his right side and found her gently brushing her fingers against Kazuto's hair.

Wish she'd do that to me too. Denji sulks, turning back to look outside the window while pouting.
