Izuku Midoriya and his half-sister, Izumi Yagi, were sitting in the chairs of the quirk doctor's office awaiting the results. He wondered what kind of quirk he would get. Would it be fire breath like his dad? Would it be telekinesis like his mom? Would it be a combination of the two? Pyrokinesis sounded awesome! The ability to control flames sounded like an amazing quirk! They all did, really, but one couldn't help but dream.

"Sorry kid. Not gonna happen," The doctor plainly told him. "See, this x-ray here shows that he is missing a joint in his pinky toe, which is a common trait among quirkless people. And the likelihood of him miraculously developing one is close to none." And at that moment, Izuku's world crumbled into pieces. His mind was full of questions. He had heard the doctor say that he was quirkless and explained how Izuku's dreams of being a hero were useless. He heard his mother, Inko Yagi, cheering when Izumi was told she had a powerful telekinesis quirk. He heard all of these things, but he wasn't listening.

Why was his mom paying more attention to Izumi when Izuku's world was falling apart? What was everyone going to think? What about the promise he made with his friends? How was he going to be a hero without a quirk? Where is his mother? Did she just leave him behind? 'No, she didn't. She's probably just really excited to tell dad the news and forgot. Everything will be fine. Mommy is just excited about Izumi's quirk. It'll all be back to normal by tomorrow. I can still be a hero,' Izuku told himself. Oh, how wrong he was.

. . .

It has been four years since that day and Izuku had already come to realize what his life was going to be. His mere existence was nothing more than pain and suffering. The day he was diagnosed quirkless was the day his parents had started ignoring him. Then his sister turned his friends, Katsuki, Katsumi, Shoto, and Shota against him. Then the abuse began, and with it came the bullying. It only kept getting worse and worse from there. He was left making his own food, tending to his own wounds, and buying his own clothes. He got money from helping the neighbors with chores. They had allowed him to do so out of pity for his situation.

And finally, after four years, Izumi decided to finish him off by telling him to kill himself. "Take a swan dive off the roof of a building and pray for a quirk in your next life," she told him. At first, Izuku had tried to forget about it, but then the other kids got in on it, and he just couldn't take it anymore. He had wondered if she even knew what she was saying or if she had meant for it to go this way.

He thought back to what his sister had said to him. The words replayed over and over in his head like a mantra, each time somehow hurting more than the last. He sighed and looked down to the pavement below. What if her "advice" didn't work? He'd be doing this for absolutely no reason other than to end his misery. But the alternative sounded way worse. Living another day in this nightmare about quirks and heroes sounded far worse than death.

And with that in mind, he made his decision. He looked towards the sky... and he let go of the rails. He had made sure to face the sky as he fell. He didn't want the last thing he saw to be concrete. This was far more peaceful. When he hit the ground there were two things he felt, pain and then cold. Something he had forgotten was that the last thing to stop working when you die is your hearing. So he heard all the screams and cries of those in the area else before the darkness took him. How annoying.

He lay in that black void for what felt like forever, waiting for something to happen. But nothing happened. He didn't miraculously wake up with a quirk, so it looks like her "advice" was just empty words. And then, he heard a strange voice. It sounded... playful almost. Like it was inviting him in, but only in the way a salesman would. High-pitched and condescending, and yet he was intrigued by the words the "salesman" said.

"Hey there, kid! You look like you could use some help. Wanna make a deal?"

Izuku had assumed this was the person who would give him a chance. Was it Death? Or was it some other god or deity that had taken interest in his pathetic existence? Izuku wanted nothing more than to accept whatever offer this was, but nothing would come out of his mouth. He couldn't make a sound, no matter how much he wanted to. He silently begged that the voice understood his struggle. Maybe they could read his thoughts?

"Giving me the silent treatment, huh? I forgot how scummy you humans were," It continued. He hadn't meant to offend the voice, but he really was trying his best. "Hello?" it called, waiting for a response that would never come. "You know it's rude not to answer someone, right?" it scolded. "Ifyou'resilentthenyouagreetomeusingyourbody" it whispered, way too fast for Izuku to catch what it said. He only made out bits and pieces of what the deity had said. Something about being silent, agreeing to something, and something about a body. He was too confused to understand what was going on, but he wasn't able to ask. "Wonderful!" it cheered, much to Izuku's surprise.

And suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his head. He didn't know that was possible since he was dead, but whatever it was made him feel... different. And then a sudden wave of memories flooded through his mind, memories that didn't belong to him. He now knew who this deity was and what it wanted. The demon who was now sharing his body was named "Bill Cipher". At first, the memories were happy. Memories of a brother who was a square, whose name was Tad Strange. What an accurate name. Then there was a fight with a powerful god and they were trapped in the realm of dreams. Their imprisonment caused friction between Bill and Tad. Bill had trapped their brother inside a goat out of spite. Why a goat was chosen was beyond Izuku's understanding, but the act of revenge later caused a feeling of loneliness. The empty white void slowly drove the dream demon into insanity, which led to the destruction of a place called Gravity Falls, and their second defeat that resulted in the return to their white prison.

Izuku couldn't help but feel bad for the demon. He had lost everything because of the betrayal of the ones he loved most, and this demon had felt the same pain. Despite the demon's desire to take over the world and burn everything into ash, Izuku felt strangely compelled to help them on their journey. Then something else happened that Izuku hadn't expected. The black void that held his soul was turned white. He looked around and saw a strange purple portal. He entered it, wondering where it led, and saw himself, lying in a pool of his own blood. He watched his body stand up, and raise its right hand. One snap and his entire appearance changed.

His once malnourished body, which had become pale and thin from the few meals he was allowed to have, became healthy once more, and even slightly more muscular. His dirty clothes changed into a yellow sweater that covered up a snazzy yellow shirt and white collar. His green hair turned yellow with black roots that faded into black near the bottom, and his emerald green eyes turned a bright yellow, one covered by a yellow triangular eyepatch. A black bowtie appeared around his neck and his torn-up jeans had turned into black business pants. And to top it all off, his eight-year-old body became much taller. He looked about fourteen now. Whatever this "Bill Cipher" had done to him was much appreciated, because he looked absolutely fabulous!

"Let's have some fun!"

(And that's it for this chapter. Honestly, I'm so proud of how much my art has improved over these few months. I've been scrolling through Tumblr, looking at all the different designs, and taking notes on the different details and shading they put into hair, clothes, expressions, and all sorts of other things. I used a picture I found on Google as a reference for the pose Bill and Izuku are in. I decided to change a few things to fit my idea of what Izuku/Bill should look like in this book and changed the position to better fit Bill's personality.

Artist's and Writer's block hit me hard for quite a while so I decided to finally get around to this book. I had meant to work on it sooner but was more focused on the other one. So, uh, sorry I guess. Anyway, I hope you all liked this chapter.

Thanks for reading and I'll see you all soon!)
