Chapter 23

Scott pov

Waking up, the elf decided that he wanted nothing else to do with his demon brother, quickly rushing towards the door and opening it

As he stepped into the long hallway the guard who was guarding the door informed him that Jimmy was waiting for him at the library and then pointed Scott in the direction of said library

As he was rushing through the halls he accidentally bumped into what looked like two hybrid cats

The first cat itself was quite large, with a fish's tail instead of a normal cat tail and fins on it's head

The second cat was smaller with an axolotl tail and gills (an axolotl's gills are the branch-like things on it's head)

Both cats immediately rubbed up against his legs and Scott was forced to stop and pet them because if their cuteness

Suddenly, a voice rang out through the halls

"Looks like my cats like you alot huh?"

Scott looked up and was greeted with the sight of his lover smiling at him

Scott smiled back "I guess they do, what are their names?" He asked as he cradled the smaller one

Jimmy knelt down and picked the bigger one up who seemed to be eyeing the smaller one with a murderous look "The one you're holding is Flick, the one that was eyeing Flick is Norman" he chuckled as Norman jumped out off his hands and back on the floor

"I see" Jimmy seemed to catch on to Scott's mood as he instantly proposed a small trip to the garden

"It's very beautiful" he reassured Scott "Plus you've always seemed to be fond of flowers, i'm sure you'll love it"

And with that, Jimmy took Scott's hand and led him towards the garden with Flick still being carried over Scott's shoulder and Norman tagging along behind

Jimmy pov

Watching Scott's eyes light up as they walked into the open garden was the best thing Jimmy could've hoped for 

As the cyan haired elf lightly droped Flick on the ground Jimmy decided to suprise Scott and walked over to the tulip garden bed, he then plucked a small yet beautiful purple tulip

"Scott, come here" Jimmy yelled and sure enough, Scott came running over

"Yes? What do you need" Jimmy smirked as he reached out for Scott's hand and placed the tulip in

"I love you Scott"

Gem pov

It was 12 midnight when Gem received the news that the gem was informed that the crystal was shaking

She instantly sent a letter to all of the rulers stating that they were to arrive at Crystal Cliffs that day at 2pm

And they did

Everyone showed up, whether they were late or early didn't matter to Gem anymore, all that mattered is that she resolved this issue

Once everyone gathered around Gem spoke up

"Hello, thank you for coming today. Unfortunately at 12 am today I recived this amazing letter" she said waving the letter Jimmy had wrote to her "Telling me that the crystal was shaking violently, and that Xornoth could communicate with anyone in the presence of the crystal" 

Lots of murmuring was heard amongst the rulers as Gem continued "Unfortunately, Scott was the first to experience this. Scott do you wanna.." she said signalling to Scott that she wanted information stat

He walked up to the slightly elevated platform Gem was standing on and started reciting everything that he remembered from the incident 

Once he was done Gem scanned the now dead silent council of rulers

Her mood dropped even further once she saw Sausage holding onto Fwhip's arm (haha gay) and Joey petting the support dog Shubble had given him

She decided that worrying them was the last thing she needed and quickly tried to assure everyone that she had it under control 

"Right, thank you Scott" She said smiling at him before shooing him back to Jimmy

"Do any of you have ideas on how to keep the crystal from being damaged while I find a new spell" Gem said looking around before spotting Lizzie

"Yes Liz?" "Well," the ocean queen said "i'm thinking you could hand the crystal over to the ocean empire, our magic is second to Crystal Cliffs and i've recently gotten a lot stronger. I might be able to contain him with some simple spells while you find a more permanent one"

Gem was relived at this, thank the gods Lizzie was so smart and strong

"Alright then, I'll schedule a smaller dragon to take the crystal to the Ocean Empire as for everyone else, please prepare your kingdoms"

"We don't know what we have in store for us"
