6.59 Game Over - Slime

Mom hauled me through the hallway and then put me on the couch in the living room. Neither did she allow me to walk on my own nor let me even sit up. But if I would've been honest to myself I would've needed to admit I was still dizzy.

"But I need the toilet", I tried to lure her into letting me get up, but Mom was too clever for that. She just took the newspaper from the coffee table and put it under my bum.

"This and your new protection will do, hun, don't worry. Please stay down while I get you something to eat", she announced and hastily left the room. I heard her browse through the shelves from the kitchen and even a glass breaking. But before I could say anything she already came back with a bottle of water and a pot of instant porridge.

"Mom what happened...?"

"Just some shards, nevermind", she cut me off and put both on the table.

"Ew porridge", I moaned, but Mom ignored me. She just went to the wall unit and opened the top-right cabinet which I couldn't reach because I was too small for it.

"You never saw that", she told me with a wink and fetched some chocolate bars. That wasn't exactly what I expected ^^

"Sweets?", I asked astonished, but Mom ignored it.

"Listen to me, honey. I'm pretty sure you're just stressed and tired, but we gotta feed you up a bit. I know you don't like porridge, but it'll help. So please eat it and as a reward you can have all the chocolate", she told me in a very serious tone. I looked at the porridge, then the chocolate and then the porridge again. Sounded like a fair deal to me ^^ Mom was still waiting for a response.

"Okay, Mom, I'll do it"

"Alright. And afterwards I'll put you to bed"

"What? No..."

"I know it's early, but you really gotta sleep, hun"

"But what about Mack?", I asked upset and sat up, but also instantly felt the dizziness return.

"Oh, that's no problem, honey. I'll just call his mother. I have her mobile number"

"Oh, yes, please..."

"But you eat your porridge in the meantime"

"Okay", I returned nodding vigorously and Mom left the room to get her phone. I grabbed the bowl and brought myself to eating the slime ^^ Mom returned a minute later talking into her phone:

"...so you're just out of town, Gina. Did Magnus come with you?", Mom asked and then switched the phone to speakers mode.

"Yes, he's with us, Sylvia", I heard Mack's Mom say and this took a load off my mind. I felt tears on my cheeks again and Mom came over and caressed my head a bit.

"Okay, thank you. Lyza and I just wondered that no one was home. You know Meredith was asking for you to hand a packet. We took it for you...", Mom began explaining and left the room to finish the call.
