ni-ki pov:

"what's taking them so long?" i look down at the watch in my hand and wonder, i head out to see if they at least arrived.

As i arrive outside the venue, i hear distant voices laughing and see a car parked in the street, it looks very familiar

"jake?" i quietly say as i head closer to the car, still not noticeable to the passengers

i see y/n playfully hitting the boy over and over, laughing uncontrollably.

I realise for sure who it is, jake

someone who i never thought would betray me, jake.

Just incase i misunderstood anything, i leave it and head back upstairs. i decide to text him and ask him where he is, knowing a hundred percent where he is.

"why is he lying? making up excuses?"
i turn off my phone and am not in the mood to talk with him, but i promised i would meet up with them tonight. I take a big sigh and i realise someone knocking on the door, i head towards it to open it.

I see a happy jake, hugging me excitedly as we have not seen each in a few weeks

yes, i missed him but why doesn't it feel like it?

i dread the thought of having to be with the both of them together the whole night.

"so, what do you want to do first?" i ask y/n who is examining the room, still surprised at what i had prepared.

i booked a party room so we can chill and there are games everywhere, then i will take her out to a night festival while jake hyung is staying here to prepare decorations for my confession. i filled up the refrigerator with all her favourite snacks and food. eariler, i got jake to bring some balloons and small decorations while i was at home baking cookies and preparing my gift.

"that game looks fun!" she suddenly gets up and points to the game, twister. i-

"lets do it!" jake shouts while i watch y/n t try to grab the game from the top shelf. she's struggling, i go to help her reach it but it seems she already got all the help she needed...

"thanks, jaeyun" she says with a smile and i scoff

jake hates it when we call him by his real name "whatever" i mumble

"what, niki?" he asks me with a curious look

"oh, nothing" i respond, a fake smile comes across my face and i realise what i'm doing, why am i neglecting one of my bestest friends? why is he making me act this way?

i'm now re-thinking my choice about confessing to y/n... but i'm scared

i'm scared of rejection

i'm scared of failure

and most of all, i'm scared of loss

i'm scared of losing her

y/n pov

< time skip >

i wonder what else we can do, there's so many games here

"uh, y/n, you want to go for a walk?" i look up and find riki grabbing my hand, leading me towards the door before i could even answer him

"hey" i groan at him and he stops walking, i remove my hand from his "hey, what the hell riki?"

"y/n...."

"what is up with you today? you have been really getting on my nerves, i thought you hadn't seen jake for a while, why are you being such a jerk around him?"

"jerk? me?" he yells back, is he referring to me? he better not

"what are you trying to say riki?"

"n-nothing y/n, i'm sorry" i listen to riki and think about how much time left i have to spend with him these holidays

"look riki, i really don't want to start a fight now"

"y/n, same, that was never my intention"

"can we just forget about it?" i ask then giggle to riki as he continues to walk, i follow "by the way, where are we going?" i start to wonder

"you'll see" he looks down at me and gives me a small smirk

*heart flutters*
