9. Movie

Soobin glanced at his wrist watch as he ran through the crowd to meet his friends.

He was late and he knew beomgyu was gonna give him a handful of scolding.

He reached the place and he looked around to find any familiar faces but he didn't have to put that much effort when he heard kai yell his name "soobin hyung"

This attracted the crowd's attention as they turned to look at kai and then soobin.

Soobin's ears turned red in embarrassment as he bowed to everyone with an apology.

He then jogged towards kai and smacked him on his head "when will you learn"

Kai nervously laughed "sorry"

"where's yeonjun" soobin asked as his eyes scanned around the crowd

"he's not here yet" beomgyu said with a pout

"I don't think he's gonna show up" taehyun had given up.

"I'm sure he will otherwise why would he have agreed"

"sorry I'm late" everyone jumped at the sudden voice, except kai. He, well, screamed.

The crowd went silent again as they turned to look at source of the scream.

Now they were all embarrassed and immediately bowed before scurrying away from there to buy tickets.

They also bought popcorn and other snacks to take along with them.

During this time, kai couldn't help but notice yeonjun's anxious state. He saw how the boys eyes constantly wondered around and his hands were slightly shaking.

He assumed it was some sort of social anxiety, but it still felt suspicious. Something about yeonjun always seemed off to kai.

"yo let's go the movie starts in less than a minute" he was snapped out of his trance when taehyun nudged him.

Kai looked around to see everyone waiting for him. He nodded before following taehyun inside.

The movie was over and it was okay accorinding to them. They were now headed out of the cinema.

"let's go have lunch soobin hyung's treat"

"wha-" soobin was cut off by beomgyu pulling everyone towards McDonald's. Yeonjun chuckled at beomgyu's behaviour.

They settle down after ordering. Slightly awkward but beomgyu was there to ease the atmosphere.

Suddenly yeonjun got a call. He excused himself to go listen to it.

"I'm gonna use the restroom" kai said before getting up to walk in yeonjun's direction, the others were too oblivious to notice.

"You buried him?" kai heard yeonjun talk and it piqued his interest.

"I think it'll take a while to come back"

"No I'll be back before that

You can't do that

I accidentally wore that shirt today without washing it, it has a few red stains but I don't think anyone noticed" but of course kai did notice it.

"relax hyung no one's gonna find out. Besides I'm great at hiding things"

"wait what" kai is genuinely confused at how creepy that sounds.

"not today if I go back now it'll be hard to hide it, they'll find out, on Monday maybe

Alright bye don't miss me too much"

Kai quickly ran back to his seat, keeping the weird call in mind.

"what took you so long?" soobin asked earning a shrug from kai.

Soon yeonjun came back and so did they food. They all ate and headed back to their houses.

But throughout Kai couldn't help but wonder what that call was about. Why was yeonjun so secretive about everything? And why was he talking about burying someone and hiding evidences?
