"Oppa, wake up. We're going to be late."

Yujin watched the boy turn in his bed-dead silent.

That's weird...

"Oppa?"

"Go away."

Yujin furrowed her eyebrows, "Did something go wrong on the mission?"

"I said go. away."

Without a choice, Yujin walked away. Worry persisted in the back of her mind, bringing her back to Y/n's room. Nervously, she peeked into Y/n's room frowning.

"Oppa... are you okay?"

Y/n remained silent, further worrying the puppy.

I guess I'll ask the others.

Yujin approached the academy with a slow gait. The sun shone brightly on the lands with white puffy clouds sprinkled along the blue canvas.

In stark contrast, Yujin's gray world grew stagnant. She tried to think of what could possibly put her brother in such a situation, but the more she thought, the worse her worries developed.

Once at the academy, Yujin stationed herself underneath her lone tree, preparing to meditate. She knew she wasn't going to meditate though. Her mind was nowhere near peace. She had questions and needed answers.

As school grew closer and closer, Yujin grew increasingly worried at the distinct lack of Y/n's team as well as her own instructor. In the corner of her eye, the young student spotted a woman waving her down.

"I wonder what's going on..."

Yujin joined the rest of her batch in waiting for their instruction. A few moments later, Ms. Kang, Ms. Lee and Ms. Ezaki stood lined next to each other with a tall man in the middle.

Murmurs fluttered around the students, directing Minju's attention to the man.

"Oh! Junho ssi!!"

Junho waved to the young girl with a smile of familiarity.

"Alright," Ms. Shen Xiaoted, "Starting today, you all will be going through rigorous training from today till well after you graduate in two years! You may have felt it-you may not but Park Ji Hoon, our pillar, has fallen in combat!"

Gasps filled the group followed by an uproar of conversation.

Mr. Park died?! Is that why Oppa's feeling so dejected? That must be why Mr. Shin and Oppa's teammates aren't here...

Minju frowned, worry filling her heart.

Oppa...

Yujin gripped at her body--struggling to keep herself up with even her telekinesis.

Mr. Park... If he died, that means Oppa almost died as well.

As if a searing metal stake pierced her heart, Yujin grit her teeth. The aching pain spread from her heart to the rest of her chest and her stomach.

The hands of her anxiety gripped at the girl's throat, strangling her. Her stomach tried desperately to free itself from her body and her legs wished to give in. Had it not been for her Allele, the young girl would be a sobbing mess on the ground.

"You must train as if the very next day was the day you are assigned on a mission! Do you understand?"

The batch of first years nodded.

"Today, Mr. Cha will be substituting for Mr. Shin. I expect all students and instructors to do their best!"

As the instructors gathered their students, Minju rushed to Yujin with a heavy heart.
