Chapter 35: Fight

Emilia texts Logan.

Emilia: Set up a fight for me TONIGHT!!!!!

Logan: got it. everything alright?

Emilia: Long story need something to hit

Logan: I feel bad for whoever your opponent will be

Emilia then informs Liam about the fight, and he decides to go with her. He grabs a mask so he can conceal his identity and they head out.

Emilia texts Bella

"I'm fine going to boxing gym with London" London is the nickname they have for Logan since he's from the UK. Bella reads the texts and knows that Emilia really means she's going to a fight. Bella texts back "ok, be careful".

Bella then goes to tell Allegra as she didn't want to break her promise. Bella knocks on her bedroom door "Allegra are you in there"

Allegra: "Yes, come in dear"

Bella enters the room.

Bella: "I just wanted to let you know Emilia's okay"

Allegra: "Did she call you? what'd she say? where is she?"

Bella: "she texted she was okay and going to a boxing gym with a friend"

Allegra sighs in relief: "She's okay"

Bella gets up to leave when Allegra stops her

Allegra: "I know we sometimes become too preoccupied with worrying about Emilia, but I don't want you or Lexi to ever feel left out. You're our kids too"

"I know" Bella says and leaves with a heartfelt smile

Emilia is now at the venue for the fight. Her opponent is a man called Crusher.

She stays in a room alone until it's her turn to fight. About 45 minutes later her name is called. She leaves the room and makes her way towards the cage as the crowd chants her name. She walks into the cage and meets her opponent. Crusher.
Crusher is at least a foot taller and very muscular. The announcer yell's "3....2...1... fight".

Emilia watches him and from his stance she can tell he's a boxer but also from his ears he probably has some wrestling or mixed martial arts training. Crusher is clearer bigger than her, so she has to make sure she doesn't get forced back. Crusher makes the first move and tries to kick her but since Emilia moves closer to him there's not enough room. Emilia quickly grabs his leg and punches his knee from the side leading to a crack sound. Now that he's injured Crusher starts to back away to try and gather himself, but Emilia doesn't give him a chance. She attacks and punches him in the nose. Emilia could have gone for the jaw and knocked him out. But where's the fun in that, they only just started. Crusher quickly reacts and punches Emilia in the diaphragm. The sensation oddly calms her. Her lungs spasming and the struggling to breathe excites her. She then throws some kidney punches, and you can see the pain clearly on Crusher's face. Emilia then ends the fight with a punch to the face which makes Crusher fall to the ground.

Emilia is announced the winner and she leaves the arena. She collects the money she won and meets up with Liam outside the arena. They go out to grab a bite to eat. They get some burgers then head to Liams house. Emilia showers and changes her clothes there. While showering many thoughts run through Emilia's head.

"Why is it always the people I trust. Why do they always have to betray me. What is so wrong with me that they choose to hurt me even though all I did was show them love" Emilia gets the urge to cut again but stop's herself and gets out and puts on the change of clothes she leaves at Liam's house.

Liam: "That was long you okay"

Emilia: "Honestly not really, but it is what it is"

Liam: "Do you want to sleepover"

Emilia: "Nah it's getting late, how's business"

Liam: "Our Mafia is quite strong you don't have to worry; we haven't had any trouble. But I've been thinking of making some changes."

Emilia: "Like what"

Liam: " We should get into the Assassination business"

Emilia: "No"

Liam: "You haven't even seen the proposal I made yet"

Emilia: "Fine, send it to me and I'll think about. I'm gonna head out now"

Liam: "Drive safe"

Emilia: "Bye"

Emilia was now pulling into the house's driveway. The motion-censored lights turned on and illuminated the front of the house. She parked her bike, took off her helmet and went inside. To her surprise everyone ran downstairs when they saw the lights turn on or they heard her bike.

Matei: "You came back"

Emilia: "I never said I was leaving"

Stefan tries to hug Emilia and apologize again. She pushes him away and says "Don't fucking touch me". They all notice her bruised knuckles.

Lucian: "What happened to your hands"

Emilia: "Did Bella not tell you all I went boxing"

Emilia goes toward the kitchen, and they follow her. She grabs some ice from the freezer and put's it into a Ziploc which she takes with her upstairs to her room. Everyone is still following her, so she slams the door in their faces then locks it. She goes into her bathroom opens the cabinet and takes an aspirin.

She looks at the state of her torso in the mirror. After so many beatings it's discolored and covered in scars. "At least everything's healed " Emilia thinks to herself as she touches her ribs.

Emilia then grabs her laptop and sits on her bed. She's planning on removing Lexi from her company Argent.

She calls her board of directors and gets them to write Lexi out of the company. Bella manages the media company and Lexi manages a hotel.

For some reason Emilia never gave Lexi that much control of the company maybe it was because subconsciously she knew Lexi couldn't be trusted.

Emilia puts the hotel Lexi used to manage under the control of a board members daughter that is trustable.
