i. rise of the turles

IT WAS 'TRAINING TIME', as you liked to call it.

you were watching the guys fight against each other, sensei had always preferred to make you train like this, one against another; and that day was no different.

you looked down while you adjusted every piece of your suit, but you could still hear mickey trying to distract leo with one of his catch phrase; his plan failed and he was kicked in the stomach with the back of leo's katana.

you hid your laugh with a cough and thankfully nobody seemed to noticed it as you sitted down to look at donnie and raph fight.

raph stretched his head to the left and to the right before he opened his mouth "all right donnie, put down the staff and nobody gets hurt"

"you always say that" you muttered under your breath, the hotheaded turned his head towards you and you quickly smiled nervously to try and soften his hardening gaze as donnie used your words to defend himself.

"she's right,you said that last time and then you hurt me"

"less then i would've"

"yeah right"

after that little talk donnie launched at raph and the training began, raph dodged every attack and after some steps he caught donnie's staff between his hands.

the agitation on the turtle's face was evident and even more in his voice "should have dropped the staff?" he asked already knowing the answer.

"should've dropped the staff" raph was quick to respond just before he broke his brothers stick in half, using the pieces to hit him.

this time you couldn't contain your laugh as you tried to fake cough only to let out a strangle sound from the back of your throat that couldn't go unnoticed.

four pair of eyes were on you as donnie started to get up and get away from the pain caused by his own stick.

"[name] stop laughing at us just because you still didn't get your butt kicked today" whined mickey while donnie took a spot near you on the floor.

"that's if i'm going to get my butt kicked today" you said observing raph and leo kneel one in front of the other; leo said something in japanese that left everyone in the room confused, especially you.

"whatever ya said" replayed raph before getting up to start the fight.

you had always loved watching the boys train, their mutated body was a lot more strong and durable then your human one and that made them a lot more dangerous in a fight, but you compensated by being more agile and that  made you more difficult to catch.

for those difference on your body types you trained less then the guys, that and some episodes where you overwhelmed yourself just a 'little bit'.

your thoughts were interrupted when your brain realised one of raph's sai was coming straight to your head and you ducked quickly to avoid getting decapitated — thank you muscle memory.

"thanks guys" sarcasm was evident in your voice but they didn't paid you any attention as they were to focused on winning.

between raph and leo it was difficult to bet on who would win, they both had their moments and no one could really say who was stronger.

this day was a good one for raph as some seconds later leo was on the floor defeated, the other standing above him.

"nice try" said the winner brother.
