Seeing Everly being dragged into the living room alone with that filthy, disgusting excuse of a man. I could physically see the imprint he was leaving on her skin, digging his fingernails into the bones on her arm.

The look on her face. Fuck. The look of pure fear, terror and sadness. Plastered across her face with the idea of being alone with him, without anyone to disturb them, to disrupt them.

And somehow I just have to sit by and let this happen?

Richard and Ethel are barely phased by the fact that anything could happen between them, they're excited for the idea of them being together. 'Getting to know each other' apparently but that's bullshit, complete and utter bullshit.

How Philip thinks forcing a young girl into an arranged marriage is a good idea is beyond me. They're all severely sick in the head, not once stopping to consider Everly's feelings. I feel like I'm the only person in this castle who even cares.

I'm the only one who has tried to understand her.

No one has ever cared for her wellbeing.

I find myself pacing in the hall, back and forth until I'm convinced I've burned holes through my shoes. My stress levels hit the roof, pure anger bubbling inside of me and I have to stop myself from walking towards those doors and ripping them off the hinges.
