I had no idea what to expect as Grayson walked us into a restaurant. I've never been to a restaurant in my life so this feels extremely weird but I embrace every moment of it. The restaurant is littered with fairy lights and dark flowers, even rose petals coated the floor and tables.
Did he book this whole place out for just us?
Grayson's hand is in mine as the waiter guides us over to our table. But I suppose it doesn't matter which table because all of them are free. He pulls out my chair when we finally make it to the middle of the room.
Candles, chandeliers and classical music.
Everything about this moment is utterly beautiful.
"Thank you," I whisper to Grayson as I sit down and he tucks my chair in.
He offers me a soft smile and retreats to the other side of the table, sitting down opposite me. The waiter hands us a select menu and a wine menu. I have no idea what we should be ordering so I sit and allow Grayson to pick the wine for us, he knows what I love and I have every faith in him that he wants to make this perfect.
I open the menu and glance down at the food. Some I have no idea what some of them even mean. So I laugh hesitantly and glance up at Grayson. "Wow," I say quietly. "This is all a little unexpected and overwhelming."
