Not The Real World

From a distance, a faint knock echoed through the room, stirring Jisoo from her slumber. She groggily opened her eyes, scanning the room for the source of the sound. As the knock repeated, she instinctively pulled the sheets closer around her.

"Come in!" Jisoo called out, her voice filled with a mix of curiosity and sleepiness. The door creaked open, revealing a maid pushing a small trolley.

"Good morning, Miss," the maid greeted with a warm smile.

"I've brought you some coffee to help you fully wake up from your slumber!" she exclaimed cheerfully. Jisoo returned the smile, eagerly stepping out of bed to receive the steaming cup of coffee.

"Mmm, it smells amazing," Jisoo remarked, taking in the rich aroma.

"Thank you so much!" she added, her eyes sparkling with gratitude. However, the observant maid couldn't help but notice the dark circles under Jisoo's eyes and her pale complexion.

"Miss, in just 30 minutes, we'll be setting the table for the entire family," the maid informed gently.

"I hope you'll join them for breakfast," she suggested, her voice filled with genuine concern. Jisoo smiled once again, her appreciation evident, and nodded slowly in response.

"Ofcou...." Jisoo's words were abruptly interrupted by Jisung, causing her smile to vanish instantly. Her body tensed up as she noticed him standing in the same room.

"Leave...now!" Jisung commanded the maid, his voice filled with authority. The maid quickly bowed and disappeared from the room. Jisung closed the door behind her and slowly approached Jisoo. As his penetrating gaze met hers, Jisoo couldn't help but tremble with fear.

"You were quite audacious last night, instructing one of the maids to inform Minho that you couldn't join us for dinner," Jisung exclaimed, his eyes filled with anger. Jisoo swallowed hard, her eyes fixed on him, overwhelmed by sheer terror.

"I...I...Ugh!" Jisoo let out a pained cry as the forceful slap landed on her cheek. Jisung advanced towards her, gripping her arms tightly.

"Do you find this amusing? I could easily inform my guards and put an end to your father's life right now. Is that what you desire??" Jisung's voice boomed, filled with anger. Overwhelmed, Jisoo let out a heart-wrenching sob, shielding her face with trembling hands.

"No, please! I'm begging you! I'm sorry! I...I promise I won't repeat my mistake and I'll obey your every command!" Jisoo pleaded, sinking to her knees before him. Jisung let out a frustrated sigh, swiftly lifting her up from the ground with force. He brought his face close to hers, locking eyes with her intensely.

"Obey my orders if you want to spare your parents' lives... Now, prepare yourself and join us for breakfast! I'll be introducing you to the family... so don't you dare let me down again, do you understand!?" Jisung growled, shoving her forcefully to the ground. Jisoo crumbled, her tears flowing uncontrollably as he walked away. She remained on the ground, weeping inconsolably.

After collecting herself, Jisoo prepared herself for breakfast. As she combed her hair, she couldn't help but wonder why she had to meet the entire family. Lost in her thoughts, she was suddenly interrupted by a frantic maid bursting into the room.

"Miss... The boss is looking for you!" the maid exclaimed, her words rushed. Jisoo nodded in acknowledgement and followed the maid outside.

"Follow me," the maid whispered, slowly opening the door to the dining room. The room fell into an eerie silence as all eyes turned towards Jisoo. Their piercing gazes made her body tense with unease. Jisoo's heart skipped a beat when she noticed Jisung approaching her, closing the distance between them.
