In the dimly lit room, Jisoo lay in bed, her body contorted in an effort to find a comfortable position for pushing. Sweat glistened on her brow, a testament to the hours of unbearable contractions she had endured. The clock struck two in the morning, and finally, she felt the urge to push as the baby made its way towards the cervix. Taehyung couldn't bear to see and hear his wife in such agony any longer. Her cries and moans of pain made him feel utterly helpless, unable to ease her suffering.
"Ah...hah....MOMMM!!" Jisoo's cries echoed through the room, tears streaming down her cheeks. Soohyang reacted swiftly, reaching for a piece of cloth that lay on the bed to gently wipe away Jisoo's tears and sweat from her small, flushed face.
"Yes, my dear....I'm right here!" Soohyang reassured, her voice laced with concern as she continued to tenderly dry Jisoo's face. Vertical wrinkles etched between Jisoo's brows as she locked eyes with her mother, seeking comfort and strength in her gaze.
"I feel...like something is wrong...hah..." Jisoo struggled to speak, her words coming out in gasps.
"Mom... I feel like something is terribly off...hah..." Jisoo's voice wavered with difficulty as she frantically reached for her mother's hand, squeezing it tightly. More tears cascaded down her face, a mix of fear and pain evident in her expression.
"I HATE HIM!!" Jisoo blurted out suddenly, her lips forming a tight line. Soohyang's brows furrowed in surprise, but she soon recognized this as a common outburst from her daughter. With a knowing smile, Soohyang reached out and gently stroked Jisoo's hair, offering silent support and understanding.
"You don't...my dear," Soohyang murmured gently. "You're just in pain. I understand." Her words were soft and comforting, but Jisoo shook her head in response, unable to find solace in them.
"NO!"
"I HATE HIM SO MUCHHHH.., MOMMM!"
"I HATE HIMMM!!"
"AAHH.....AAAA...." Jisoo's scream echoed with a mix of annoyance and pain.
"Where is he?" she demanded, her eyes flashing with intensity. "I want him here!!" The frustration in her voice was palpable. Soohyang couldn't help but let out a small laugh at her daughter's spirited insistence.
"Jisoo... don't you remember that you sent him out of the room two hours ago?" Soohyang chuckled softly as she reminded her daughter. Jisoo's eyebrows shot up in surprise at the revelation.
"MAKE HIM COME BACK!!" Jisoo's voice rose in urgency. "I NEED TO TELL HIM HOW MUCH I HATE HIM!!" She screamed at her mother before abruptly letting her head fall back onto the pillow. Soohyang tightened her lips, trying to suppress a smile, and nodded in understanding before leaving to fetch Taehyung.
"I will go get him for you!" Soohyang reassured the hysterical woman, her voice calm and soothing. "Calm down, and breathe," she added before hurrying to the end of the room. As she opened the door, she found Taehyung, Jihoon, and Soonjin waiting outside. Taehyung quickly stepped forward, his grip tight on Soohyang's arm.
