"Aaaahhhh!!!"

"Oh...oh....aaaa" Jisoo's face bore the unmistakable signs of pain, a sight that deeply troubled Soohyang, her mother. Throughout the entire day, Soohyang had witnessed her daughter bravely enduring every ounce of suffering. The sight of Jisoo's pain weighed heavily on Soohyang's heart, causing it to ache with a profound sorrow.

"Kyangeul, please tell me that everything is fine!" Soohyang uttered worriedly at the healer.

"Yes..., princess Soohyang, your daughter is going to be okay..."

"She just needs to endure it for a bit longer....the baby is not yet in the right position to be pushed out!"

"She needs to be strong!" Kyangeul uttered softly, gently wiping away the beads of sweat that adorned Jisoo's forehead. Overwhelmed by excruciating pain, Jisoo found herself uncontrollably weeping, while the entire family anxiously awaited news about the baby, their hearts heavy with concern. Gathered outside her room, they yearned for any update that would ease their worries.

"Jisoo, my dear..., just hang there!!"

"You've got this!" Soohyang encouraged her distraught daughter, her voice filled with determination. Jisoo, her face twisted in pain, managed to give her mother a faint nod. She understood that she needed to gather her strength, to be resilient as she prepared to bring her baby into the world.

Amidst the overwhelming stress and agony, her thoughts drifted to Taehyung. She longed for his presence, yearning for him to be by her side. The absence of his support weighed heavily on her heart, and she believed he deserved to know about their soon-to-be-born child. The unexpected pregnancy had shocked everyone, including herself. She had never anticipated this outcome, but deep down, she knew the possibility existed since she had slept with him the day she ran away. Throughout her pregnancy, worry and shame consumed her. Her family's disapproval of having a child with a soul reaper only intensified her anxiety.

"Mom!" Jisoo cried out in tears. Soohyang immediately grabbed her hand and went closer to the bed.

"Yes, dear?!" Soohyang uttered.

"What ahh....what is really going to happen to my child??" Jisoo's anxiety grew as she realized her grandfather had kept her in the dark about her child's safety and future in Sapphire. Soohyang, sensing her daughter's fear, tightened her grip on Jisoo's hand, offering reassurance.

"Don't worry, my dear," Soohyang comforted. "Your grandfather won't cast you aside just because you had a child with Taehyung. Remember, you yourself are a child of a soul reaper, and he accepted you into our realm. I have faith that he won't neglect your child either."

Jisoo couldn't shake off her nerves, knowing that everything hinged on the birth of her baby. Her heart raced with fear, for if her child turned out to be a soul reaper, her grandfather would surely exile her from the kingdom.

"Now what is taking them so long in there??? The king of Sapphire anxiously tapped his foot outside the room, his patience wearing thin. His worry evident in his voice. Seri, his granddaughter, observed his distress and offered him a reassuring smile.

"Grandpa, please don't fret. I assure you, she's going to be alright," Seri said, her voice filled with confidence. "Kyangeul mentioned that it's quite common for acyns like her to have a labor that lasts up to three days. So, there's no need to panic just yet."

"Hopefully, Jisoo won't have to endure an excruciating three-day labor. It would be absolutely dreadful!" Seri exclaimed, her voice filled with concern. Yamano, the King, let out a heavy sigh and promptly sank into the chair behind him. Anxiety and fear gripped his heart as he contemplated the impending situation. He wrestled with the difficult decision of whether to exile Jisoo from the kingdom if she were to give birth to a soul reaper. Seri, sensing her grandfather's apprehensive demeanor, swiftly approached him. She knelt down before him, locking her gaze with his, offering comfort and understanding.
