When she awoke the next morning, the bed felt chilly and deserted. She scanned the room with hopeful eyes, searching for any sign of him, only to be met with a sinking feeling of disappointment.

"Is he still upset with me?" she wondered aloud.

"I thought our night together would show him how much I still care," she mused, her eyes closing in defeat. A heavy sigh escaped her lips, exhaustion weighing heavily from the events of the previous night.

"Taehyung," she whispered softly to herself, her hand gently touching her flushed face. A sudden wave of heat washed over her, causing her to lightly tap her forehead in an attempt to cool down.

"Why am I feeling so hot?" she voiced in confusion, only to be startled by her son, Taeyong.

"Mommy?" He mumbled with smiling eyes.

"Oh my goodness, you scared me!" Jisoo jumped in surprise at her son's sudden appearance.

"Mommy..."

"I'm hungry!" Taeyong said with pleading eyes. Jisoo smiled softly at him and nodded in response.

"Aw, sweetie..."

"Mommy will get ready now."

"Please wait for me, okay?" she said, bringing an instant smile to his face. He had missed his mother during the past week, and this was the first time he had seen her since. His older brother had not allowed him to enter their mother's room, so stumbling upon her in their father's room felt like pure luck to him.

"Okay!" he replied happily. Jisoo smiled back at him and adjusted the bedsheets to cover herself more securely. As she prepared to get up, a sudden sharp pain in her lower abdomen stopped her in her tracks. Jisoo let out a yelp and instinctively clutched her stomach tightly.

Taeyong was immediately frightened upon seeing his mother squirming in pain. He quickly approached the bed and took hold of his mother's arm.

"Mommy...mommy?"

"What's wrong?" he asked, his eyes filled with panic. Seeing his frightened expression, Jisoo tried to endure the pain and forced a smile back at him.

"Nothing's wrong, baby!"

"Mommy is fine!"

"Would you help me walk to the bathroom?" she asked, smiling at him. Taeyong nervously returned her smile and nodded quickly. As he assisted her towards the bathroom, he could feel his mother trembling. His anxious eyes remained fixed on her face, watching as she bravely endured the pain. And just as he feared, everything worsened right before his eyes.

"MOMMY!" he yelled in pure fright as he saw his mother fainting on the floor. His face twisted in agony at the sight.

Taehyung was just around the corner in the hallway when he heard a loud scream coming from inside his room. His heart stopped for a few seconds upon hearing it.
