"I get why they're here but why exactly is Ezekial here; he hates us." I say while sifting through some lululemon leggings.
Bio mom had practically dragged us out of the house this morning with Lele hot on our heels so we could get to the mall as soon as they opened.
A few minutes after Lele, Angy, bio mom and I had been in lululemon bio dad, and the rest of our brothers pulled up.
"To hold our bags," bio mom deadpanned while adding a crop top to the already overflowing pile of clothes in bio dad's hand.
Grabbing 6 pairs of leggings in different hues she put the pile in the awaiting hands of Ezekiel, who had an agitated look on his face. Giving him a quick look that said play nice she came over to the rack Angy and I were at and pulled us towards the direction of the back of the store where the underwear was.
Once out of earshot from the boys she started talking. "Your brother doesn't hate you."
"You sure," I snorted while Angy was giving her an 'bitch you better be joking' look.
"Yes!" Letting out a long sigh she continued "he just as a strange way of... look you two leaving wasn't easy on any of us and I'm NOT excusing his behavior. But I think he's just scared something will happen to you again so he's keeping you at arm's length."
Pausing to gauge her reactions, she sighed heavily taking in our blank expressions. "I know that once he gets over whatever demons he's dealing with he'll love you two just as much as the rest of us do." She finished with a soft smile, and eyes shining with so much hope & determination.
"I guess we'll keep snide comments to ourselves," I replied after glancing at Angy.
I know Ezekial acting like a fucking child is messing with her mental state, he was her favorite brother. So maybe us playing nice will get him to grow the fuck up and stop acting like a child.
It also would just be nice to be comfortable with the whole family but that can't be done until Ezekial gets off his period.
"That's all I can ask," she chirped while putting her hands together. "Now come on let's go pay so we can buy more."
Once reaching the counter, I quickly handed my card to the saleslady ignoring whatever arguments bio family was saying about them paying. I'm an independent woman. I don't need anyone paying for my stuff, thank you very much though.
Grabbing our bags, bio dad gave Reese a quick kiss on the forehand and let us know the boys will meet us at the next store after they put our bags away.
Honestly the only good thing men have going for them is that they'll hold your bags when you're shopping.
