TEASER TO CHAPTER 4. (*SPOILERS

-

The school never let anyone into the building and down the hallways, they always shouted about that to the students opening the doors to let people in, last time someone's parents had the cops on their tail after someone believed that they were an intruder or an escapee. We were all tucked away in the corner of the classroom, I held onto Robin's upper arm as he sat and still laughed with the boys.

"Well, um - your mother-" He breathed, it was a heavy topic for him im sure. I shrugged to him, bopped him in the waist with an arm as it rested on his shoulders now. "She was staring death in the face. Anyways."

He smiled, and then he frowned. "But still. Finn"

"Thank you." I looked where plastic stuck out of the sand. A sign "NO TRESPASSING" - with something else I couldn't make out. Stuck straight up as if someone had stabbed it straight through the guts of the sand. But the stick was straight up, the nails were rusted and crooked, and the paint was starting to peel along the barnacles.

He smiled. "I love you, finney."

"I love you too"

I smiled at this. The first real smile of the afternoon. Now was the time for it to be awkward, for the pit of my stomach to turn in nervousness.

I watched as he brought his knees up to his chest and pursed his lips. "Did you see the guys hair today, that one? We beat our record and stuck like ninety in those curls!"

I laughed too. "Does he ever notice?"

"No, not usually." He cackled. "Not until something falls. He doesn't care."

We had broken into laughter, even though i never usually laugh at that, i didn't find it funny when i was in class. But now, with robin. It was my humor.
