Author POV:

"Wait, so Mom is gonna make the turkey again? Didn't some of us get food poisoning last time?" Zola asks nervously.

"I heard that!" Meredith says

"Honey, she's not wrong. You aren't the best in the kitchen." Derek chuckles

"Sorry, Mom." Zola smiles

"Don't worry, I won't be cooking for Thanksgiving this year, your big sister has got that covered, she and James are getting Cristina from the airport. They should be here soon.

"Oh, Thank God." Bailey sighs

"You guys are mean." Meredith rolls her eyes.

"It's okay, Mom. Your mac and cheese are pretty great." Ellis tells

"That's from the box!" Zola, Bailey, and Derek start laughing hysterically.

Mia POV:

"Thanks for getting me McBaby...and James! Hey, did you knock her up yet? Your parents keep thinking that they'll never get any grandchildren, you guys have been together since med school." Cristina nudges him.

"It was on and off though because I was an a*s. We've only been married for a little under two years." He replies

"He was, but we were so in love. Did you bring Mom's chocolate?" I laugh

"Yes and don't avoid the question, McBaby!" She says

"We're trying at the moment, we're working on it," James says

"Is your Mom cooking again? That didn't go too well last year." She worries

"No, I am. You'll be safe, don't worry. Dad is keeping an eye on the turkey to make sure it doesn't burn." James and I snicker.

"Okay, we're home!" I shout as James opens the door.

"Cristina!" Mom jumped into her arms.

"Hey, Mom, can we get a hug too?" I laugh

"Sorry, she just lives like five thousand miles away...I didn't forget about you two, thanks for picking her up!" She hugs us.

"Let me help you take the bags upstairs, babe." James insists

"I'm fine, I got it." I kiss him briefly.
