Part 11

I opened my eyes only to find myself on Papa's shoulder, he seemed genuinely worried about something, he's running like someone is about to murder him.

He soon noticed that I was awake and dropped me, and held Eleven in my place, I got pretty confused till he held my hand and continued running, I looked to my right and found dead bodies scattered around, with a few heavily injured people.

I quickly remembered that day, I closed my eyes trying my hardest to forget about it, let alone even think about it.

And then a bit later I felt the sunlight through my eyelid, I opened my eyes widely and noticed that Papa actually got us outside, it was like a desert, it was certainly not how I expected it to be.

I tried moving out of his grasp to run away but as soon as I did I felt shocks running through my veins, I then noticed that i had the electroshocking collar on me.

There were helicopters, people with guns, and god knows what else.

This felt like a fever dream.

After a few moments Papa suddenly fell to the ground, he was bleeding, I panicked and ran to him.

Eleven stood up and started using her powers on the helicopter.

"Papa..." I cried "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done what I did, please..."

"Valerie... you were always my favorite... I'm sorry..." he coughed and smiled weakly.

Let him die.

"Huh?" I said through my cries, Papa got confused for a second, but he had more important things to care about, one of them being him dying, "Shut up Henry"

"What?" Papa said, soon after that we heard the helicopter crash onto the ground, i looked behind me and everything was on fire, Eleven was on the ground.

Shit, that must've took a lot of stamina.

I left Papa and ran to Eleven.

"Are you okay?" I said softly, "it's okay El, you're amazing, holy shit you're crazy that's awesome."

She looked at me weakly and let out a small chuckle, we laughed together for a few seconds till I saw a yellow van getting closer.

I saw two kids with bad haircuts getting out of the van, followed by a guy who looks about my age, they ran up to us and started comforting Eleven, they must've been close.

She has a family.

Where am I supposed to go now.

I looked at them having their reunion sadly, until I felt the collar on my neck falling, I looked behind me and saw Papa smiling, Eleven seemed to notice too.

Don't go.

"Okay." I said quietly, even though he can clearly read my mind or something.

Eleven went up to him with no words.

"I'm sorry" Papa spat out his last words before closing his eyes forever.

That tall guy grabbed my hand and ran towards the van, the other two took Eleven, when we went there, the door closed and we sat in silence for god knows how many minutes.

"So... who're you?" The kid with the black hair asked.

"it's Si...." I didn't know whether it'd be okay to actually say my name now, the only people who knew it were Henry, Papa and Eleven, and everyone here seemed to be calling Eleven by her lab name.

"That's Spanish." The black haired boy said.

"Didn't you get a C in Spanish?" El said, smiling.

"Yeah well that's basic Spanish, I'm not that ba-"

"It's Valerie." Ignoring what they're saying, I don't even know what a C in something means.

"Oh, well i'm Mike, he's Will, and that's Will's brother Jonathan, and I'm guessing you already know El." I nodded, looking at them all.

"We're Eleven's step siblings." The boy named Will said.

"You didn't even introduce me dude... that's so not cool man," some guy with long hair said looking annoyed.

"Oh uh, that's Argyle, Argyle that's Val." Jonathan said, "he's a nice guy don't let his hair intimidate you,"

"Hi Argyle," I said, Argyle looked at me confused, I thought he didn't want to be my friend until...

"I thought you were Nina," everyone mentally face palmed and I looked at them all confused.

I don't understand a thing that's happening.

Papa got me outside.

Papa died.

I'm in a van with Eleven and four other guys.

Great.
