"How does it feel?" Ralph whispers, looking at my bruise I was given.

"It stills hurts." I say, wiping my fingers across my face carefully.

I still wondered about Roger though. I wondered why he acts how he does, and from that one day why he had those scars.

I kind of miss him aswell. In the beginning, we got along somewhat. I thought maybe we could actually be friends, but never mind.

I don't think I want to be friends with him. He's just an asshole with no happiness in his soul whatsoever. And after last night, I wish I could rip his guts into pieces.

I grabbed my converse that had dried overnight, and I put them on over my socks.

I headed out of the shelter, but stopped in my tracks.

      I smelt.. fire?

I looked around the island for any sight of it, but I couldn't see anything.

"Ralph, c'mere." I waved my arms to motion him to come towards me.

He got up from the ground, and made his way over to me.

Mikey already left. He told us that Roger said you're coward if you joined our group, so he went back. Lovely isn't it?

Ralph's nose sniffed the scent, and he looked over to me worriedly.

"Maybe it's just their fire." I suggested.

Ralph walked a little further into the woods, "I don't think so." He motioned me to follow him, and we explored what could be causing the smell.

I looked around cautiously, and finally sniffed out what was causing this.

"Ralph!" I screamed to him, and pointed into the distance of the island.

Trees were lit up into flames. The grass was being devoured and burnt to the crisp, and it smelt of an awful scent.

"They're burning it down.." Ralph sighed nervously.

"We have to get out of here. Come on." I grabbed him by the arm as we ran into the opposite direction.

We didn't stop running until we found there was no more of a smell. I felt my eyes dilating and I swear I could've almost passed out. My vision blurred for a few seconds as my head started to throb.

Ralph and I tiptoed our way through the thorns and plants, trying to find somewhere to hide. We couldn't be caught.

Screaming and chants could be heard in the distance. I could tell it was the hunters trying to find us.

They wanted to kill us.

Or Ralph. Honestly I have no idea what goes through their tiny psychotic minds.

But a thought came into my head. A nasty, vile, and cruel thought. One that would ruin my reputation forever. A thought that was so bad, it could slaughter me into two.

"Ralph. Before you say you'll come with, just keep here. I need to grab something, and trust me its safer if you stay here." I warned him.

He looked at me with fear. His head shook in disbelief.

But he couldn't come with. If one of us were going to die today, it would be me. I can't let him go. And frankly, if I go I could maybe make it without being seen.
