"School just started," I replied. "We'll run into her soon enough."
B: I learned that Miles and his last girlfriend just broke up over the summer and people think he's rushing it. I don't want her to be somebody's rebound...

"There you are," Vanessa said as we entered the building. "Tell me everything."
"Well, it was good. Short though," she replied.
"Short?" Vanessa questioned.
"He had a birthday party he forgot about."
"Hey, can I talk to you?" I asked. Carly seemed surprised.
"Sure," she replied, and the two of us stepped off to the side.
"About Miles," I began,
C: Really?
"Be careful. I don't want you rushing into things," I said.
She gave me a look. "I'm not."
"I know that. I just don't want you to get hurt."
Carly rolled her eyes. "You really don't think I know what I'm doing?"
I turned around and started getting my things out of my locker. "Fine. Don't take my advice. Your loss."
