*Miles' PoV*
"Hey, what's up?" I asked as Carly and I sat down with Jax at lunch.

"Hey Carly," he said. "You auditioning for that dance thing too?" he asked. "Jenna seems pretty excited."
"I don't know," I replied.
Miles and Jax looked confused. "Why not?" we asked.
"It's complicated. And Vanessa isn't helping." I added.
"What's up with her?" Jax asked.
"V and Beckett are the best dancers here, and she won't even audition with him. And now Beckett's not talking to her."
"You're right, I'm not," Beckett said, surprising everyone. "But I need your help."
"I offered to be your partner you know," she said, turning around to face him. "I don't know what else."
"Just sign up," Miles said.
Beckett stood there.
"Sign up without asking her. Then all you have to do is get her to show up. If she's as good as you say you shouldn't have any problems."
"You really think we could get her to show?" Beckett asked.
"We can make it happen. Just make sure you're there." Carly replied.
"Okay, thanks. I'll see you in class."
