Chapter - 30 Interview

Zhan Yu glanced at the two bickering men and decided to just run off to the kitchen. He was too lazy to pay attention to these two people! On the way to work, because Zhan Yu didn't drive his car back, Lu  au offered to bring him over. Zhan Yu didn't have any objections but Zhan Qiancheng did. "President Lu, you're always busy with work so it's better if I bring my brother over to his workplace. You don't need to worry about this."

"President Zhan is being too polite. I brought him back yesterday so I naturally need to bring him to work today."

"Since I'm here, there's no need to trouble President Lu."

Zhan Yu watched as the two of them talked in official tones and felt exhausted for the two of them.

"Brother, if you guys keep on arguing, I guess I don't need to go to work. Nevermind, you guys can keep arguing. I'll just hail a taxi. Maybe, it's quicker this way."

Of course, in the end, Lu Bai brought Zhan Yu over. As Lu Bai was about to leave, he couldn't help but be in a happy mood upon seeing Zhan Qiancheng's gloomy look. While waiting for the red light, Lu Bai turned around to look at Zhan Yu. He noticed how Zhan Yu was wearing white chain pendant which made his skin look white and beautiful in contrast. He was a bit sexy like this. He laughed and said, "Wife is beautiful today!"

Zhan Yu's face flushed as he heard him. He quickly reprimanded, "Who's your wife? Don't randomly call me that!"

Lu Bai looked meaningfully at Zhan Yu and cleverly didn't retort. After all, it was bound to happen sooner or later! Within ten minutes of Zhan Yu arriving at the office, he received the Director's call, telling him to go and find him. Zhan Yu's instinct was that it wasn't something good because it was never something good with the Director. But what made him surprised was that disaster and happiness were interdependent on each other. The Director sat on the chair and said in a proper tone, "We had all seen the episode where you interviewed Chu Hua and you do have some strengths. Plus, the audience had recommended you into becoming a member of the program, and I as well as the rest of the higher ranks had discussed this. Everyone agreed to you changing to a host for interviewing programs."

Zhan Yu was shocked and happy. Indeed, he always wanted to try and interact with interviewing programs. He originally thought that he needed to try another few years before he could do so. Who knew this came easily at him! Seeing how happy Zhan Yu was and didn't object against it, the Director continued, "This interviewing program has been around in the TV Station for a long time and there is a vast audience. Host Lu will be marrying at the end of the year, so from now on, you guys can work with each other. Host Zhan, is that fine?"

Zhan Yu didn't dare to immediately take on this because there was no such thing as a free lunch in his opinion. He said, "Director, can I go back and think about it?"

"Of course, you can go back and think about it. It's best if you can give me a response before getting off work this afternoon."

Zhan Yu nodded his head and agreed. He was still in a dilemma when he returned to his office. He asked Gu Tong and she [Gu Tong] immediately said, "Go, go, go! If you don't go, that would be a waste of chance! We all know how difficult it is to change to hosting interviewing programs! Plus, didn't you always want to try hosting this style of program?" Gu Tong indeed said what Zhan Yu was thinking about. 

Zhong Qin also agreed.

Zhan Yu gave his answer before work ended and the Director nodded his head pleasingly. "Not bad, not bad. You didn't disappoint me!"

In the end, after they finished the discussion for the episode, Zhan Yu figured out the pit behind this 'free lunch'.

This program 《Walk into your world》prepared to interview the Film Empress of the entertainment circle, Jian Lan, for the next episode. Jian Lan received numerous prizes based on her outstanding roles that she acted. She even earned the title of Film Empress. But, what was amazing about Jian Lan was that she didn't like any other activities besides shooting scenes. Besides having to attend the awards ceremony, she rarely showed her face on interviews and comprehensive arts and entertainment activities. In short, it was very difficult to make an appointment with her. But this extremely difficult task landed on Zhan Yu.
