Xiao's POV

"So he's really been behaving himself?"

 "Morax..."

"This is a serious matter, Xiao. Whenever there is a period like this, it's just the calm before the storm." He said seriously.

What the hell is this situation?

Aside from Morax, who seemed completely serious, the only other person in the room was Childe who could barely hold back his laughter.

"I'm telling you, you're just overthinking."

He's behaving like Venti has some great plan in the making.

" Xiao, you don't understand. Barbatos is-"

 "He's what?"

Why did he go quiet all of a sudden?

 Morax frowned and looked around.

"I could swear I felt something..." He muttered.

After a while, he shook his head and turned back to me.

 "Barbatos is a two-faced little-"

"Brat?" Someone finished his sentence for him.

 "Exactly." He nodded.

It took a few seconds for the realization to hit him.

 "Barbatos!"

He came face to face with a giggling Venti.

"How rude of you to insult me behind my back, Morax. What would your people think of you if they knew." Venti teased.

I could see the corner of Morax's mouth twitch in annoyance.

"What are you doing here?" He managed to spit out.

 "Kidnapping."

 "What?"

Let alone him, even I couldn't react in time. When I came to my senses, I was already in Venti's arms.

"I'm here to kidnap Xiao. I'll bring him back in time for the...you know, don't worry."

That was the last thing I hear before the world went dark.

By the time I opened my eyes, it was already dark.

As I looked around I found himself to be on...

 "Starsnatch Cliff?"

"Yep." A cheerful voice sounded from behind me and soon I was enveloped in a hug.

 "Venti..."

Morax...might have been right. But what is he planning?

"I'm a very selfish person you know." He said suddenly.

 Selfish? Venti?

"I wish I could hide you away from everyone."

He let go of me, allowing me to turn around.

"Do you even know what day it is tomorrow?"

"Monday?" Is there something special about it?

Hearing my answer, he started pouting.

"What was I even expecting." He muttered.

 "What is it, Venti?"

Was I forgetting something important? I shouldn't be.
