Another day arrived smoothly. Noor had been going to university with deeba almost everyday. It was the 2nd week of her living here, and she never saw him in the house.
Was he really ignoring her this bad?
She had seen him today in university though, he was explaining some things to the students after the class. Khalid was well aware of her gaze on him all the time.
He was reluctant to look in her way but had controlled himself from doing so. He didn't knew why he was distancing himself from her. He just felt that he needs to stay away from her...for his own sanity.
"Noor, kya khaogi?" Deeba ask
"Umm, kuch bhi le aao" Noor shrug
Deeba nod as she walk towards the canteen to get them something to eat. Noor sat on a bench in a campus, looking around at the young students walking and chatting around. Even in university, she hardly had any other friends than Deeba.
Noor inhale fresh Air as she look around, when something caught her eye. Zain. He was smiling and walking in her direction. She panicked as she sit properly and fix her dupatta on her head.
"As-salamualaikum Noor!" Zain chirped as he sat on the bench beside her
"Walikum assalam" she smile sweetly at his greetings.
"Bht din hogaye.......I didn't see you around. Fir almost a week, were you okay?" He ask concerned as Noor sigh. She didn't attend University fir a week after she shifted with deeba and the family
"Ummm, yeah—yeah I was fine" Noor didn't meet his eyes and no, fixing her bag strap on her lap
"Well, how did you manage to solve the assignment?"
"I—I asked for help from Mr. Mirza like others" Noor informed to which he nod
"Oh! That's good, but you know....I am always here to help you" Zain smile sweetly. He really liked Noor, and wanted to be respectful to her in every way.
"Thank you" Noor nod and smile, as she look away from him. They saw some students rushing towards the section of University where Khalid's office was located. Noor frown
"It's common in university to see this much rush to meet Him" Zain chuckle looking at the rush
"Why?" Noor ask innocently
"What do you mean by why? Come on Noor! Don't tell me you don't know about his background and stuff"
"I...do know" Noor mumbled
"Then? What's the confusion about? He's so famous and handsome. Females from this University literally swoon over him every second he is around in the university" Zain chuckle and shook his head
"This popularity....was expected to be honest"
"Why?"
"Because, he's a politician as well. In a month there is elections nd he is the next candidate from his party. He even got the party ticket"
"Really?" Noor didn't know anything about his work and political affairs. She was truly shocked
"Yeah and—"
"Hey Zain?! Suprised to see you" Deeba interupted as she came back with coke and Burgers in her hand. Noor helped her by taking the stuff and placing it on the bench, deeba sat beside Noor
"Yeah......I was just passing by and saw Noor sitting alone so I thought to accompany her" Zain smile and Deeba nod mischievously.
"Ohh okay, have some" she forward him the food to which he denied politely
