Chapter 10: Under The Luminous Moon

Shadow's Pov:
We finished the movie at last, The movie wasn't scary enough for me..but it surely was very frightening for sonic. Everytime he screams and jolts it will always startle me a bit. I saw his bright jade eyes, Widen in fearsomeness. Was the movie even THAT scary? I raised a brow in confusion. "What..?" I awkwardly asked him, While trying to comprehend his expression. He slowly put his gaze into me, Those emerald orbs is starting to stare at me.

"I feel like i can't be able to sleep anymore tonight.." He began to speak, just as if he's really traumatized or something..my expression quickly converted into a reassuring smile, The smile that is only reserved for him. My arms swung around his shoulders, I lightly rubbed it so he can atleast calm down a bit. I let out a chuckle "Don't worry about it, i'll be right there beside you alright?" I replied in a soothing manner.

He slowly rested his head in my shoulders, As he closed his beautiful emerald orbs..He gave me a quiet purr that sent shivers down my spine. It felt so chilly to hear that loving purr, Not from anyone else of course but coming from my lover..

I must be fortunate enough to have you in my arms, I am glad that no one will be able to catch you cuz im the only one who can..

I took a glance at his perfect face, I grinned. "C'mon, Why don't we go outside?" I asked, using my soothing voice. He mentioned earlier that he adores this voice of mine, and of course..i would like to use it everytime when he's here right beside me. He quickly opened his eyes, It was full of excitement "Oh yes please!!" He eagerly said, As he stood up from the couch and held one of my hands and he started pulling me outside. I chuckled at his cheerful behaviour. "Come on now shadow! I thought you were faster than me!"

"Don't underestimate me hedgehog.." I smirked, While he sweetly laugh "Mhm...I'll race ya!" He cheerfully stated, Usually i would ignore or refuse his race since i thought that it was just a waste of my time but right now..I couldn't refuse, Just for him to be happy. I pinched his soft cheek "I wouldn't be so surprised you would challenge me once again" I said.

"Its been a month since i last challenged you for a race shads, So i will gladly take this great opportunity with you! So..What do ya say?" He said with the same cocky voice he always use in his everyday life, As he gave me a calming smile..Im so crazy from a simple smile, They are right when they say that we all do crazy things when we are in love. I shook my head, not from disappointment but from amusement. He raised a brow "Where's the funny part in that!" He complained while smiling.

"Nothing, Now let's get this over with..Shall we?"

"Positively, Mr. Ultimate Lifeform" He teased, As we prepared ourselves for our rivalry match..

"Going all formal now huh?" I teased back, Well..can't just let him won this

"Why not? You started it! and besides..i don't see a problem in that!"

"I didn't say that it's a problem, I like it.." I said, We smiled at each other before turning into a complete blur.

Red and Blue blurs quickly made their way pass a few leaves and tree's, Making a wind towards their direction. Laughs can also be heard coming from the two blurs. But the loudest was obviously from the blue hedgehog, and the other one just can't stop staring at his lover's smiles, It was always the best feeling for him. Just by seeing the other smile and laugh, makes him feel so warm inside..His heartbeat rapidly beating.

Both of the hedgehogs stopped due to sonic's uncontrollable laughs, The azure one only held his stomach and quickly collapsed right on top of the grassy field while laughing. The darker one only rolled his eyes and grinned, Deciding to sit beside the laughing hedgehog. "Alright you faker..stop now or you'll not be able to breathe again." The red striped hedgehog chuckled. Sonic opened his emerald orbs so he can be able to see his love. He slowly stopped. "Okay okay shads..I just wanna enjoy our moments you know? Besides, If you didn't..You might regret it eventually." He spoke, But there is something in his voice at that point, His voice seems to hint a bit of sadness within it.

Which surprised the ebony hedgehog and kind of broke his heart to hear him say those, He looked at the hedgehog's lips..Only a small smile can be seen in his muzzle. "What makes you say that..?" Shadow asked, badly concerned for his boyfriend. The hero shrugs before he spoke "You know what i mean shads, Nothing lasts forever Well..except for you of course." He chuckled at the last part, But it was a fake one. He was actually so close to tears now, His lips were quivering. The other one seems to notice it, He felt really bad..Yes indeed he was right about nothing can last forever, That was the part that he haven't thought about, The part where his heart crushes everytime he thinks about that certain topic. But he can't be here to grieve for it, He is here to comfort his lover..He needs to be strong for him.

He lightly held the other's gloved hand "To be honest sonic, Indeed it is true but we couldn't focus on the future nor the past right now. We should focus on the present, Our present.." Sonic only turned to face his boyfriend, His eyes were already soaked with tears. He cannot hold the pain anymore, Reality kept hitting them hard..He only wished to love someone he truly loves. "I get it! But we already know that's going to happen!! Time goes by quickly now Shadow, I don't want to leave you so soon!! i- i- i just..can't. Please..I don't wanna see you grieve over my death it truly hurts me whenever i can see you in that condition, I wish there's something we could do about it..." Sonic was able to speak through his sadness.

It pained shadow to see him like this again, The hero had been so emotional for the past few days. And the darker hedgehog could only comfort him, But he was also worried about him being immortal and sonic being not. He was genuinely have been avoiding this question for a long time and now..it is very complicated for him. Is there a possible way to even solve this?

He embraced his crying boyfriend, While sonic was startled at first but gladly accepted the warm hug from his boyfriend. He rested his head against his boyfriend's chest fur. Shadow stroked the blue one's quills, Making the other feel relaxed a bit. His cries was slowly fading away due to shadow's comforting arms. "Im sorry..you had to see me this way again"

Shadow pecked the hero's forehead. "Its fine, after all..you're mine now." He said, in a soothing tone. Sonic blushed from his sweet statement, He was right though "Y-yeah.." The blue one giggled in response. He purred from the darker hedgehog's touch, It was surely addictive from the hero's perspective.

Shadow turned his attention towards the fascinating moon, Among the stars and the nightsky. He couldn't deny the moon's beauty. But the blue hero's beauty was the only thing he could put his attention to. "You know..Your elegance is incomparable."

The azure hedgehog's heart pounds like a drum in his peach chest, His mind was filled with random things he can't explain or elaborate. His peach colored muzzle was now a tint of red, He's blushing. He felt like he was about to faint but to make this all short, He was precisely so in love. Falling for the ebony male over and over again, Like it was some kind of an endless loop. He chuckled "Stop that shads, I'm falling all over again!" He said, at the same time giggling. He throws his arms in the other's shoulders, As they gazed to each other's engaging orbs, Who wouldn't be amazed by those crimson and emerald orbs. The colors perfectly matched those two chaos emeralds.

The moon was their only source of light. But overall..it was a perfect night for the two lovers.

The red striped hedgehog pulled the blue hedgehog into his, As their lips met. Sonic was taken by surprise by the unexpected move, But he cannot help but slowly melt to the kiss..Closing his eyes to feel the endearing moment between them. He couldn't pay his attention to his surroundings, Only to his lover. He returned the kiss. It was passionate!

The scene quickly turned into a make out scene, Their tongues interwined together inside their locked lips. It was rough. Shadow lightly pushed sonic, to lay on top of the grass. It was comfortable so it wouldn't be a problem for them.

They were running out of air, So they slowly pulled away. It was a shame for pulling away that early for the both of them, They were surely enjoying the moment. They ended up panting heavily "I love you unconditionally..." Said the ebony hedgehog between pants. Sonic lovingly smiled and held his tanned muzzles "I love you more" before pulling the black hedgehog into his lips once again. Their lips smashed together.

Shadow then pulled away, and moved to the hero's neck. Kissing it delicately. While sonic only melted..It was the best feeling! He was indeed enjoying the sensation. As he stroked his boyfriend's black and red quills.."Mhm.."

"Enjoying much are we?" The older one teased, Stopping from his actions for a while. Sonic only rolled his eyes playfully while he smirked. "Yeah yeah.." He tried to cover the ebony's crimson orbs with his gloved hands, Just for his lover to hold it. He fondly kissed the back of his gloved hands, After that he earned a chuckle from the blue hero. As he leaned into the ebony's arms again.

Spending the night as lovers..
